Krogman with 37 with 5 minutes to go in the fourth against Armour. He is a heckuva player, but not sure how much fun it would be to be a teamate as he takes 90% of the shots. It's all about him in the offensive.

Krogman sets new record with 40 points in the first round game. 14-25 from the field.

I just got back from state A's in Rapid and heres what I have to say.. First of all the super sophs from Madison did well but I was really impressed with Jared Vlastiun from Lennox this is the 3rd time i've seen him play and even though he was playing against Doerr it was the best I've seen him play this year. He is taller then the listed (6-4) and jumps like no other, very aware near the basket, smart player, great rebounder, strugles on the defensive end though, hes skinny but if he hit the weight room im shure he would grow... (look at his bro).. I was just wondering if SDSU has looked at him, or any d-I colleges.

I watched a little bit of the game but had to turn back to the NCAAs because of how bad that basketball game was. He's a good player it seems and he can score. He's lazy on defense but that's somewhat understandable. But watching that kind of game on TV isn't going to tell you how good he is. College coaches will have to watch him (and are) play during the summer against some ACTUAL talent. I think my JV team from my hometown could have beat those guys. I'm not taking anything away from Krogman, just think that you can't judge his talent off of a game like that.

I've watched Krogman play live 3 times, I did not watch the game against Armour but have watched armour play alot over the years and no your JV team isn't going to beat Armour.. they've beat some prety good teams this year. I will disagree with summer club ball because if you say there is no defense in B's then I don't know what you would call summer ball.. thats no defense. The difference between Louie and some other players are is that Louie can play defense I've seen him he plays great D when on the ball has a tendency to loose his guy when his guy doesn't have the ball but he has to help alot so thats understandable.

Krogman is a great ball handler and great shooter which we at SDSU have none of! Sure he takes alot of shots and his teammates do their jobs by setting the picks and getting the rebounds, but ths guy works hard to get open. He is also shooting like 60% from the floor for the YEAR!

His teammates must not care, b/c winning is a cure all! He is a special player.

Why be a hater? He would dominate at any level in this state!

I think its much easier to find a player of Krogmans abilities both in the region and outside than it is to find an athletic 6'9 player. I'm sure the Jacks are on the beat of several DI talented players.

Krogman was offered affter his Freshman year by SDSU!

This is the first time I've watched a class B game in about 8 years, this was not a good game. My hometown is near Armour and have watched them play for nearly 30 years, going way back to the Barry Glanzer days and this is not a very good Armour team. I couldn't believe what I was watching, they did not look like a Burnell Glanzer coached team, sometimes consolidation may be a good thing, Armour looks like they are really short of numbers. My thoughts on Louie, Jacks 3031 pretty much summed it up, a great scorer and a little suspect on defense tonight. I also would like to see what he could do against taller, longer, lock down type defenders.

Any chance of combining our two 2008-2009 recruiting threads?  I guess I don't see the reason for having 2.

Yes, I think that has been discussed extensively. It's also been reported he did not accept it and the offer is off the table? My point is if the Jacks feel they need more inside presence than why would they go with Krogman simply because he is available. I do feel we could use another deep threat and a good penatrating guard which Krogman seems to excell at. Question is do the Jacks feel Krogman is still the guy or do they have someone else on their radar that is better. Krogman may have taken a gamble when he did not committ early and we will see how that plays out for both parties. I do think we have two good guards in Moss and Sargent coming in this year that bring two different assets. Would Krogman score 40 points if he had 6'4 Moss or Sargent draped all over him? Maybe?

I share this opinion. He will have to adjust his game if he wants to play at the DI level. I remember Jauriad Hughes (sp?) from the early/mid 90's. Transferred to SDSU and hit the floor gunning. Didn't play much D and didn't look to make those around him better. Made the all-NCC team but SDSU didn't even sniff the post-season. Fun to watch on offense but left alot to be desired. Louie is a great scorer, the most prolific high school offensive player in the history of the state. We don't know what he will do at the next level. Should SDSU take a chance on him, I'm not sure.

I've never seen him play before. And I wasn't knocking him. The posts above me were stating how many points he had and I was just referring to the talent level. And the post about the JV team...maybe it's cuz I'm from MN ;D ;D ;D ;D .....sorry....I couldn't resist!
