That same class of '24 has Vasecka listed at 6'2, so we have size and also Dunn at 6'0 and Shepard at 6'1. Class of '23 has incoming Behrens at 6'1 and Hopp at 5'11, a guard, we can take a couple highly skilled exceptional guards that are 5'8 no problem, in fact , much anticipated getting them both. I'm sure you and all the fans feel the same way . AJ keeps us well rounded, balanced, with height in mind. I know you were just responding to LetsGoRabbits post, I'm just adding to the conversation a little with my perspective is all.

Fun to think about but I doubt this will happen. I honestly never expected Louisville to pan out for her for basketball. I think playing two overlapping sports at the D1 level just isn’t feasible and volleyball probably suits her better.

I realize that. that says to me they must be seen as beyond special players. beyond that we have two current freshman guards who are listed at 5'10. i think they are also very very highly thought of, but i do not think any of that diminishes the truth that AJ prefers to have guards who are 6 feet tall or dang close

semi related note, it appears that Maddie V may have grown slightly since her arrival. i believe she is still listed at 6'1 and i am pretty sure that is the height she was listed for most of her high school career, but she seems clearly taller than Myah and Tori now

the jacks, however, have shown a long standing preference for guards who are 6' tall or as close as possible. it has been quite rare for a long time that they have two guards on the floor and one of them is not at least 5'11

Not sure a 5'8 guard would be a wise use of a roster spot unless her skills are off the chart.

The fact that USD didn't offer either makes me wonder if Bella was straight up with the South Dakota teams and told them she wanted to play for a bigger school. We have one open spot for this season and next season, but I think the '24 class has 5 commits and is full.

Bella Swedlund enters the portal. Not sure if we would have any room/interest in her. I'm sure the team down south will be after her pretty hard.
Redbirds were reportedly her 2nd choice after Jayhawks. Who knows if that'd still be the case.
