Mesa's come such a long way from her first year here, look for her to continue her growth and have an excellent upcoming season with blocks, rebounds and scoring, she's generated into a solid / very good player we can rely on always to give her best. Last season she emerged and caught fire and became a beast, look for her to continue to play that way and contribute even more this season.

Some were a little closer to the camera, not a whole lot, but a little. Also, some had (guesstimate) looked like 2" sandals on, while others much thinner ones, that throws the comparisons off too (the freshman pic). I like the picture where they're all wearing the same type tennis shoes, that eliminates the different height of the sole issue anyway (team picture)
If you look at the team picture, their feet positioning forms an arc, with the center of that arc (Brooklyn) the farthest back, and the ends closer to the camera, how much that makes Mesa seem much taller, I don't know, or, maybe she 's grown some from her listed 6'2 , I don't know that either. The front row people have to crouch down a little to not obscure seeing those in the back, not a photographer, but maybe the type of camera lens has something to do with it? It does make Mesa look like a giant, I concur with you.

I noticed that as well but iIt looks like some of them are bending more at the knee than Mesa is, so it’s really hard to tell height by the photo. Interesting how some are wearing different shirts than others too! Very much looking forward to finding out how far this talented team can go this upcoming season!

Here's Maryn in action as a freshman # 22, 6'0" F, Sioux Center vs Waverly- Shell Rock in the 4A Quarter final of the IGHSAU basketball Tournament. I know, she's only an offer , but it's the slow season, and we may or may not get her as it's way too early in the process, but some of you may find it an interesting watch.

I am not sure when it was announced, but KELO had Abdouch as the Player of the Year in their view. She was in competition with 3 other 2024 SDSU recruits and a Dordt recruit from Ethan. Squires of Sioux Valley was named the boys POTY.

I went to the game. I was impressed by all five future Jacks -- Dunn, Vasecka, Fox, Abdouch and Shephard. Vasecka, Abdouch and Shephard looked especially smooth, but Dunn and Fox have skills, too. The team with Abdouch, Dunn and Shephard beat the team with Vaseck and Fox 86-74. Vesecka was named the girls' high school player of the year by the Coaches Association.

Paid Hudl to watch our recruits' performances. The officials were in "all-star" game mode, and no individual stats were kept.
The non-stop action fit the moment, with 5-in/5-out substitutions, open shots and
resembled not at all next fall's defensive expectations.

Still was great fun to witness run-n-gun !! Very pleased to see Dunn sprint the floor/pass/shoot - this group has wheels, ball skills, and floor vision.

You would think that the Sioux Falls and NW Iowa schools would be interested.
