  • Re: 2012 recruits

We are overlooking a big fat fact here.

TIM MILES IS FROM Doland SD. He is one of us.

Anyone of those players could have been a game changer for this team as they possess some of the skills we are lacking. I think playing in front of family and friends in a packed house at the Summit League tournament would exceed playing a bit role for any of the above teams. The UTEP decision is really an odd one, but I'm sure they are all comfortable with their choices and thats what counts.
Or, they would not have added to the intangibles which took this year's Jackrabbit team to the NCAA tournament, wrecked the team chemistry, and sent the team spiraling downward.

      Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

We're in Magic 8-Ball territory here. Answer unclear, ask again later.

Seems like Fiegen and Dykstra did quite well this year without the help of Larson and Iverson.
Oh well. I was curious to know where Tim Miles had obtained his B.S. degree. Here is his Bio, one that the selection committtee at UNL no doubt has seen.
        Its very impressive.

Well I will let you be the final word on the topic since any other response from me will probably get deleted.

My only point is that none of us really know what might have been. Having one of the big guys from SD might have propelled the Jacks into the Sweet Sixteen. They might gotten into a tiff with a teammate or two that would have sent the team to a lower-half finish in the Summit.

Personally I'd rather concentrate on the guys that we can (or have) gotten to come to SDSU, rather than worry about the might-have-beens or might-someday-be's of guys that decided to go elsewhere.

Plus, it appears that I'm just feeling extra-special-opinionated (or perhaps curmudgeonly---GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!) today.

            Ain't message boards fun?

So you think being a bit player at Washington State, DePaul, or Boston College is automatically better then playing at SDSU in front of family and friends? Sorry, I just don't buy that.

That guy has some anger issues. Either that or he didn't like his fingers sucked on.

                        It's different for every.single.person.

Yup, that is why I disagree with some. It is not "automatic" when a power conference offers. If it was automatic Dykstra would be at Iowa State or Wake Forest. Thanks for helping to make my point.

Okay, to get back to the recruits, since SDSU needs a big man, 6'8" or 6'9" Zach Hanson from Pierre is a really talented, strong, and long Center who will be a senior next year. He has started for TF Riggs since he was a sophomore and just won Gatorade Player of The Year. A friend of mine, Scott Nagy's son, told me Wisconsin was recruiting him or at least had interest in him. So obviously, he has potential. Keep an eye on him

Lots of talk about Hanson in the 2013 recruiting page.
