Casey Kasperbauer Carroll, IA committed to the coyotes. Not sure how interested SDSU was in him. I suspect not that interested but could be wrong. Seems to fit the USD mold quite well, good shooter and scorer, not sure he can defend at this level.

Yeah Mike LaTulip confirmed it on his twitter account a day or 2 ago. I'm not sure what to make of him and Showalter taking preferred walk-ons this early on. Maybe they really want to play in state or maybe it was a take it or leave it, but from reading both of their profiles I thought both of them had the potential to have many offers come in during the year if they played good. Its a tough break because again the Jacks are losing a guy to a walk-on spot on a bigger team but I don't feel likes its a big deal because of the extra guards added late for the 2011 class.

Does anyone know if we are going to have any recruits on campus this weekend? Also, has anyone heard if Zach Huisken from SW Minnesota Christian is interested? I think he would be a great addition.

I've heard on this forum that he is not interested. However it was hearsay and from my experience the kids don't know where they are going until they sign the dotted line. 2 days before Colton Iverson committed to Minnesota I was talking with a close friend of his and his gf and they said 99% sure he was going to Nebraska. I remember a family member of Nate Walters saying on this forum he definitely would not be going to SDSU. So to say whether he is interested or not is a joke. I do believe he has a scholarship offer and I do believe he is currently undecided.

As far as visits I have no clue. I'm guessing there will be un-official visits, whether there is official visits I have no clue.

The Jacks did have several recruits visit here over the weekend (along with Connor Devine) . Both were from out-of-state, and I believe one of them was from Oklahoma, and we may have offered.

I think we found our suspect, according to a link I saw while browsing the ORU board:

One more Oklahoma Elite player is still exploring his options. Jake Bittle of Bixby has recently visited Denver and South Dakota State on official trips. He has an offer from both and also has received in home visits from Samford and Central Arkansas. On top of the previously mentioned interest, the 6 foot 4 lead guard is an often visitor to Oral Roberts to play pick up ball with the current team

Mitch Weg from Worthington will visit SDSU this weekend. He apparently has a walk-on offer from SDSU. He has scholarship offers from USF, Dordt, and DWU. This according to @RyanJamesMN who knows his stuff.

He also states that Zach Huisken is down to Augustana and Dordt. And that Casey Schilling is down to SMSU, Augustana and Dordt. Both have been mentioned with SDSU.

Casey Schillings and Zach Huisken would be great gets for Augustana. Still haven't heard where Kyle Bauman from Minnesota is interested in. He is another big kid from Minnesota that would look good in a Jacks uniform.

I think I can read it..... I think there will be 3 scholarships available if everything works out the way its suppose to.

I don't know Mitch Weg, if you could throw out a scouting report on him that would be good. I saw he put up some good numbers for his summer team, and he is 6'7" but thats about it. I've always said that a good walk-on program is something that is key with having a good program. Now at the same time I don't know if you want to make your prime target a walk-on whose other offers are NAIA and transitional D-II schools.

Does anyone know if any other recruits were on campus this weekend?
