    Re: 2009-10 Recruits

congrats to the madison boys. I watched them play when they were sophomores and they were good then.... I believe that they will help SDSU right away.

Does anybody know if we have any other offers out for the early signing period. Or do we plan to try to find somebody who fell through the cracks in the spring?

Great News. Hopefully this is a new beginning in the DI era.

    It's official...

Tony Fiegen and Chad White signed their Letters of Intent this morning at 10:32 a.m.

I was there to cover it and I even took pics... I'll post them later as soon as I can get them off my camera!

It's a GREAT day to be a Jackrabbit!

Signings due this week. No reason to believe they won't be both signing. Jacks waiting for a third offer (Wolter?) and if they get another one, will be filled out. Tony is 6-7, pretty strong body, and I would think he might even touch 6-8 by the time he's here. We lose only Casey and Troy Wipf from this year's team.

We have a verbal commitment from these players- not a signed LOI, yet.

I am going to assume that this is the class that we have Chad White and Tony Feigen signed for?

I heard CADSEV say that Chad White is 100% since his knee injury.... since I didn't follow any summer league hoops over the summer, how was he this summer? Also I will add that I saw him play his sophomore year and I saw a player a lot like Mike Miller...

As far as Tony Feigen- How tall is he now? and what type of a summer did he have?

Is there any other players out there that are on SDSU's radar from South Dakota?

Good point. Discuss athletes from other schools on other threads!

Jacks showing some interest in Tyler Goetz a 6'4 wing from Chaska, MN. Has offers from a couple of DII Schools.

First, the athletic department (and president) need to get serious about being a D-I program (or even a classy D-II program) by removing the crazies from the area near the visitors bench (keeping absolute filth from being hurled at the players and from spitting on the players and in the water container...don't laugh fans, I've been 15 feet from all of that happening and seen all of those happen). I have never been to any other game anywhere where this conduct was permitted.

Second, when a student's conduct violates decency, the security (?) needs to kick him/her out, not just escort him/her to the door and then let him/her return to the floor area (always happened in the past).

Third, the USD employees (ticket takers, etc.) should NEVER be allowed to wear clothing (obscene, suggestive, etc.) which slams the opponent. That one REALLY irritates me. You won't see that conduct at SDSU, and I have never seen it at any other venue (and I've been in lots of them).

Finally, watching a basketball game from the far corner of a football field is no fun for anybody...build a basketball facility and then seek a home and home.

Also they have been great at getting people like Louie Krogman and Dusty Tetzloff and hoping they amount to something, something that is harder to do when under D-I rules with caps on scholarships not scholarship money....

One source had them pre season #1 which is and was the ultimate kiss of death. It remains to be seen whether or not these new kids will all gel together into a decent team. Boots obviously has a solid history but that doesn't gaurantee anything going into D1. Hopefully some of those class B fans that always show up for the state B tourney in Aberdeen will make their way down to Vermillion to see Krogman play this year.

They were indeed on their "Official" visit and spent most of there allotted 48 hours allowed on campus or in Brookings. Signing date is early November this year.
