I was thinking more on the lines of 08 and offers that haven't been verbally accepted.

Just a thought. It seems to me that as a general rule it is in the best interest of a program not to have to much information out there about who offers have been made to. Its one thing for us to speculate on who might have or should have been offered, but to start start citing sources relative to what offers on the table doesnt make sense. Do we really want USD or NDSU or Minnesota or Northern to know who we have offered? Or perhaps the 3rd or 4th prospect on our list to know that they are 3rd or 4th and not 1 or 2? If I was a coach I would want that information to be held close to the vest, until the offer had been accepted. It seems we help our cause by not giving the opposition to much info. Of course, as Dennis Miller says....thats just my thought, I could be wrong.

I'd be willing to bet coaches from other schools aren't searching out information on fan message boards. They aren't going to find anything on here they are unaware of.

Your probably right coaches...like I said, I could be wrong....but prospect kids or parents of kids look at these sites. If Nagy has talked to me and yet I read that he has an offer on the table to two other kids, I just might be inclined to accept an offer from another school even though eventually Nagy might make me an offer.

The little I know about recruiting and I know very little the coach is generally pretty honest on who he is all recruiting for that year and other years.

To think that SDSU has a beeline on every single recruit available and no one else is offering is silly. Many times a single recruit has a multitude of offers (if they are worth anything) and not offered by one single schools. The same recruit is being pursued by other schools within the conference or at different levels. Posting this information on a message board isn't harmful to the recruiting process of a school. Plus, when a verbal is received the school wants everyone to know to prevent other schools from recruiting the athlete. While there is no rule preventing another school from continuing to recruit until the signing days, there is typically an ethical code or respect for a school and usually recruitment ends when word is on the street that a verbal has been received. Most recruiting is not kept secret.

For all of you hoping for Colton Iverson it does not look good for the Jacks. KFAN radio out of Minneapolis is reporting that he is Meeting with Tubby Smith to day to possibly join the Gophers.

Great news for him, if that is what he desires. If it is the right place for him great.

Tubby spoke at the QB club's noon meeting. No announcement made. He is in town for an in home visit with the Iversons this evening. Looks like it is down to Nebraska and Minnesota. If the Jacks can't have him I'd certainly rather see him with a coach like Tubby Smith at Minnesota.

Even if Colton had verbally committed to MN, Tubby can't comment on the recruitment of the athlete or any commitments as this is a violation of NCAA rules. Silly as it seems since everyone in the state knows why he's in Yankton today, but still the rule that they have to follow.
