That said, I'm pretty damn encouraged by all the tweets today from players who are affirming their commitment to SDSU along with alums who have stepped up to encourage players to stay in Brookings. Many of them played under Jimmy the last few years.Comment

I remember reading an article from a recruit that committed to UNLV after TJ left. He commented that while TJ was still employed by SDSU he would tell him "I want you to play for me next year no matter where I am coaching". I will never forget how bad that rubbed me that he was using SDSU resources while SDSU was paying his salary to recruit players to play for him and not SDSU.Originally posted by jbjack View PostComment

Mark Gronowski on Nate Brown show says that he was a little sick to his stomach when he heard Jimmy was leaving for Wazzu. Says he's encourage players to stay or at least wait and see. Says there'll be guys that leave but here's be more players announcing that they are staying and that he thinks that fans will be pleased with the guys that stick around.Comment

those efforts have been disrespected. i did not expect him to stay for 20 years but he has talked loud and often about bleeding yellow and blue. the way he has gone about this has ACTIVELY harmed the program and there is zero chance he does not realize that
if he is also actively recruiting players on the way out the door that just does more damage. honestly he should have been banished from all the facilities the second there was a sniff of this. someone can pack his office for him. i would NEVER expect we would stop players who want to talk to him from talking to him!!! they have a relationship that is undeniable!!! but we should not make it easy for him to sit in SDSU facilities and recruit our players eitherComment
