                  • Anyone know the scholarship breakdown for future classes? There's still a handful of SD players with an SDSU offer and it'd be nice to keep a couple in-state!

I think you may need to consider players have not changed for this year as student status. Here is the current roster and the year of elgibilty.

There are some interesting things there for the members of the 2018-19 freshman class, which included Burckhard, Stapleton, Hirschman and Rongisch. Burcrkhard is listed as a junior, which accounts for the extra year of eligibility. Stapleton and Hirschman are listed as seniors and Rongisch as a redshirt senior. Not sure if that means that Paiton is the only one who is going to use the extra year of eligibilty, or if they made a mistake listing the classes of the other three. Also, Jordan Ferrand, who was also a member of that recruiting class, is no longer on the roster.

Sydney Stapleton is likely finished with basketball due to last year's injury. The others listed as seniors may be ready to head to further education or careers. Paiton is likely prepared for the extra year of basketball as a 5th year starter.

I wonder if this isn't a case of the coach telling some players that they aren't going to have a scholarship available to them for an additional year? Rongisch, Stepleton, and Hirschman sitting on the roster for an additional year tying up a roster spot that could potentially go to an upcoming HS player that actually may see the court just doesn't make sense. Ferrand leaving the team is interesting as she was the most likely of the 4 of them to give quality minutes in a meaningful game.
