I may wake up in a roadside ditch tomorrow and I may have a grandson with a dog collar in the future. Seems obvious that these games meant a lot more to one team than the other. I'm disappointed and embarrassed as a proud alum as I am sure my counterparts at USD are exited and impressed. I think the only thing that lessens the sting is a tournament championship.

Weak performance by the players and coaches. AJ had no plan to finish that game and Nagy got beat from the beginning on Thursday. Time for another bounce back.

Rivalry? Kansas is playing K-State in Manhattan on ESPN right now, and it's a WAR . . .

And, of course, since I posted this, KU has pushed it out to a 10 point lead.

Yep...not sure why both our teams crapped themselves in the Dakota Dump...but they did. Wednesday can't come soon enough!

The women announcer for Midco is IMO not very good. I have heard her do other women games besides SDSU and I don't care for her (not that I could do better and I know I could not do any better).

Let me help you out, SHE IS TERRIBLE and should not be allowed to continue to announce. Now, I might be a little upset at this point and willing to reconsider in the future. However, at this moment I have access to this forum and I more than agree.

Yeah JJ Hartington, whose bio is not found anywhere, mentioned several times Ryan Wilson the USD coach. I believe he meant Ryan Williams, so our guy seems to make a few boo-boos. Just saying.

a few? imo, it has turned rather ugly---could make quite a list. now, this may be just a pet peave of mine, but, i have really tired of hearing "the old fashioned way". i understand it is his first year, but, i think he has regressed (and that's not coming from a wonderful beginning). alot of work to do.

I don't know how we could go through the whole game plus over time and only shoot 4 free throws. The Yotes only shot 16 which I think is pretty low. The officials must have let alot more contact go than normal.

Problem is more that they only made 1 of 4. Make 50 percent and they win the game.

I think that the free throw line is a big part of Sunnies game. Her highest scoring games have had a healthy free throw contribution towards her total points. Not that theres anything wrong with that you practice free throws to get to the line.

I listened to the USD call of their game where they beat ORU in Tulsa and yeah, the DING DING DING call was really kinda strange and jarring, but overall, I thought he actually did a halfway decent job. Of course, I just had the audio to go by.

If you were listening to the game called tonight by USD's radio announcer without the video you would have assumed Steph Paluch's end-of-the-game, back iron 3 pointer was an "air ball," since that is exactly how he called it. This was only one of a rather ridiculous sample size of errors through the course of the game.

J.J. and the Midco woman's struggles have been brought up by a few people, but I've heard both of them and these two aren't even in the same league of awful as this guy was. I honestly care less about the mistakes and more about the guy being plain unprofessional. You don't yell your disapproval into the microphone every time a foul goes against your team and you don't claim the opposing team "took 3 extra steps" every time they make a layup. Also, if you are going to use a catchphrase, it should at least be semi clever and not redundant. Yelling "Ding! Ding! Ding!" into a microphone is the equivalent of screaming into someone's ear "I AM NOT ANNOYING! I AM NOT ANNOYING!"

Maybe the reason you can't find his bio is that his name is JJ HARTIGAN. It's his first year on the job and yes, he does make some mistakes with pronunciations of coaches and players, but overall, he is getting better. I remember listening to him in the first women's exhibition game and he was very nervous and was not keeping up with the game well. However, from then and now he is day and night. I know that Tyler mentors him and is helping him along in his first year calling the Jacks. At least he doesn't say "ding! ding! ding!" and is professional.
