Here is what I found.

Re: 2013 Recruiting List
In the history, yes there are A and B teams who could beat upper ranked AA teams. Not this year, and it would take a special team for it to happen again. It is just getting to the point where the AA schools are getting larger and except for a few higher A schools everyone else is getting smaller. My high school, who when I was in JH had a 7th, 8th, freshman, B and A squad, now has a 6-9 team a B team where many of the JH kids play for and then varsity, and its a A school and I'm not that old, many of the smaller schools don't even have JH or Freshman teams any more.
I wish more AA schools would play the A schools, but with the lack of JH, Freshman, and B games with how the state organizes everything it just doesn't work in many situations.

Most of the great collegiate players in SD were from small towns.....Tetzlaf,Brown,Colburn,Nissen,Thomas,to name a few, some of their pictures are hanging on the wall at Frost Arena.

Saying that the small schools can't ever beat the big schools is just plain not true.
