Also, so now who do you think we fill our last spot with? I strongly feel that our last commitment is going to come from either Lynch or Flatten. Either way our coaches can now make a power play with these two and to all the others we have offers out to now that we have 1 scholly and multiple offers out....it is first come first serve.

Here is a thread I found about Anders on the Gophers Board...... http://www.forums.gopherhole.com/boa...-Anders-Broman

P.S. not that it really matters but Reggie Lynch was the first guy to congratulate Broman on twitter about his commitment, Lynch took an unofficial visit to the Gophers this weekend.
I would agree that Lynch and Flatten would be the likely targets. Having only one spot left kind of puts the pressure on the recruits to not spend too much time looking around. Remindful of the Gruis situation where all a sudden a scholarship may no longer be available.

You do realize it's against NCAA rules for coaches to talk about a recruit?

Coach Klink and all of our coaches are very aware of the rules. The NCAA is very aware that fans will continue to ask and talk about it.

I hope we hear more about Flatten soon.

Also, ESPN has Broman listed as a 2 star... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/ba...ght=&x=44&y=19

Here is ESPN's class rankings, they have him as #3.... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/ba...tate/minnesota

Side note -- Minnesota's class of 2014 is going to be loaded compared to the class of 2013.... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/ba.../true/state/29

I'm not overly confident in ESPN's recruiting database, they still don't even have a profile up yet of Zach Hanson or acknowledge that he has committed to Creighton. I guess it is still early tho.

I really could see him as being a guy that was overlooked by bigger schools and over evaluated due to his height instead of actually looking at his skill set. Would love to see him come off the bench and just shoot threes. Kind of like a shorter Kyle Korver is what I hope he becomes.

If 3-pt shooting ends up being his only skill set, he'll never see the floor for the Jacks.

Where did I say that? I said I want him to come in and shoot threes. You can never have too many three point specialists on your team and if he is a very good shooter, he will see the floor hands down no doubt about it

You said you want him to come in and just shoot 3's. 'Just' is the word I was keying on. And yes, you can have too many 3-pt specialists on your team if they can't do anything else. Regardless, he certainly looks to have skills beyond just 3-pt shooting in his video.

I meant it as on offense and maybe he can defend well maybe not but when you come off the bench you don't need to have a whole bunch of skills but he certainly does look to have more skills than just shooting.Jacks 1- I guess we can agree to disagree on three point shooters. Ask Rick Petino about three point shooters, can't have three point shooters. I really am excited to see what he brings next year and the 3 years after that. Looks to be a good get.

No worries...I think we can all agree that we want kids to do more than just shoot 3's, but it is certainly an important skill to have (especially in the style of offense we currently run). What is exciting to me is that he had approx 15 other D-1 offers and we nab him after this weekend's visit!

Seems like a solid player. The more I've read about him the better he looks. Held his own on the AAU circuit, put up amazing numbers in hs ball. His measurements are better then he looks on film. The few post I've seen describing him is that he is taller and more athletic then he looks on film. So I like all of that. I wouldn't compare him to Louie, this guy measures better, and can create his own shot. Also could very well be the shortest guy on the team, Bittle (6-4), Donlan (6-7), Devine (6-10ish), Doyle (6-8), Severyn (6-4ish), Prince (6-4), Horstman (6-5). Being 6-2 won't kill you when you have height around you to help you. So I think he'll do alright. But then again, there are recruits that I've thought were can't miss, and then guys like Nate Wolters who I thought was maybe a 2 year starter tops and a game managing point guard at best.

Good to hear Broman is going to be a Jackrabbit!

People might not realize this, but this might be our biggest recruiting battle victory in the DI Era. I am pretty sure Anders had more offers from other DI schools than any other Jackrabbit recruit (Note: Dykstra had offers from more prestigious programs, but I don't recall him having the quantity).

Welcome Anders good to have you as a Jack. Obviously this is a recruit that the staff feel they can work with and improve with each season.
