Re: NDSU Game Thread
As miserable as we might sometimes feel for (and about) our men's team, Sagarin has SDSU as the #5 team in the Summit League:
86 North Dakota State 78.08
111 Oral Roberts 75.65
126 Oakland-Mich. 74.90
198 IUPUI 69.87
231 South Dakota State 68.22
236 Southern Utah 68.05
245 IPFW 67.51
251 Centenary 66.98
269 UMKC 65.71
312 Western Illinois 61.60
Basically at the half way point in the conference season it's NDSU all by themselves; then Oral Roberts and Oakland fighting it out for second place, then the bunch of average teams from #4 and #9, then Western Illinois, bringing up the rear right now.
Granted there's a razor's difference between #4 and #9, but the season is far from lost. A little more poise down the stretch in the coming nine games and we should make it to Sioux Falls. We fans need to follow the same kind of advice we'd give the team--don't panic, keep your head, and execute. We need to at least split the home games next weekend, and after that can't afford another home loss. Getting a road win somewhere would certainly help in making it to the conference tournament, too. It will probably come down to that last conference game in Shreveport, unless a couple of other teams just collapse down the stretch. We don't want to be one of those teams!
Let's beat the Jaguars and the Grizzlies!
