Kind of sounds like our student section. They get excited more for a $5 t-shirt than anything else.

Heard on ESPN, "never could figure out how a guy could pay $300 for a seat to a NBA game and fight over a free t-shirt." I thought that was an excellent point.

Guess we all can be rude sometimes. Don't worry though our student section likes to sit for some reason... until the mascot is ready to throw a t-shirt... last game was pathetic

get some thick skin, its a rivalry game, your MENS team actually played NDSU very hard and tough that night, apparantely it didnt rub off on your fans....

Thank you for the kind words Nidaros. There is no need to apologize as no real harm was done and there aren't any hard feelings. I just wanted to get the word out that I wasn't a part of that. It's easy to make assumptions and that's what happened. I'm just glad that someone told me about this blog. Maybe I'll interact in the future.

I heard tonight at the game that my name was seen on this blog. I wanted to reply to clear the air. There's been alot of talk lately about the seats given to the NDSU fans at last weeks game. Number one, those are not my season ticket seats and number two, I didn't give those seats to Bison fans. A friend called me at 4:00 Friday afternoon and said he had one ticket for tonights game. Naturally good seats, thought I'd take advantage of this. As it turns out, sitting next to NDSU fans was not such a good idea. If anyone payed attention I left that seat at halftime never to return. Didn't want anybody to think they were with me. Guess it was too late. Damage was done. I will agree that those fans went over the line. I was embarrased to sit next them. I would hope that if I had good seats like that at Fargo I would act better than that.

I hope everyone got a chance to read this post as its very important to rocco1004. Its very easy to draw incorrect conclusions. I apologized to rocco1004 in a PM and those others that have mentioned him by name should do so also.

My conclusion is the staff who ordinarily watch the courtside seats for proper behavior did not do their job with the NDSU game and the obnoxius fans.

I tried to stand in the aisle at the Fargo Dome to get a better view of the football game about 2 years ago. I was not blocking anyone's view, but a staff person came and told me I had to sit down and it was a fire and safety violation to stand in the aisle and brace myself against the wall. I would hope our staff would be more attentive in the future and we should never give our neighbors to the north the notion that they can make a complete a@s out of themselves and get away with it.
