    Now, that's funny.

Keep fingers and sharp objects away from him, and like filbert says, "I think it will be OK."

Please don't take him too seriously - that's when you get dragged into the vortex. Never been there myself, but I've heard it isn't good.

i wish there was more that could be said

NDSU wins again, cruised both nights, bracket buster vs Uw Milwaukee, Crieghton or U nevada, should be a fun road trip wherever..

p.s- woody is on fire from 3 pt land lately.

I would agree, converting on the offensive rebounds seems to be a area that SDSU needs to work on as well as the stopping drives. Our defense could be much better, I dont have the answer to what is going on there. I am sure that is one of Coach Nagy's concerns. We can only hope for a win over NDSU next year unless we meet in SF in March.
Haha, umm well you notice my post was at 1 am, so I wouldn't necessarily call it "free time" but more along the lines of "late night reading" just so I could get a feel of what was being said about the game from all of your perspectives.

I'm glad to see the mood of this board being so positive towards the boys team again after the last few years have been kinda tough. The Madison boys sure have added to that hope. For their sake and SDSUs I hope they play their hardest and are never viewed as disappointments if they don't live up to some of the expectations people have of them.

    Re: NDSU Game Thread

I heard tonight at the game that my name was seen on this blog. I wanted to reply to clear the air. There's been alot of talk lately about the seats given to the NDSU fans at last weeks game. Number one, those are not my season ticket seats and number two, I didn't give those seats to Bison fans. A friend called me at 4:00 Friday afternoon and said he had one ticket for tonights game. Naturally good seats, thought I'd take advantage of this. As it turns out, sitting next to NDSU fans was not such a good idea. If anyone payed attention I left that seat at halftime never to return. Didn't want anybody to think they were with me. Guess it was too late. Damage was done. I will agree that those fans went over the line. I was embarrased to sit next them. I would hope that if I had good seats like that at Fargo I would act better than that.

Ahem, Jacks play in Fargo before any of this. Jacks have won in Fargo before, it's not a foreign concept!
What's that old saying, "this is why they play the games" ???
Of course we have won in Fargo before, but only in the first year of transition, the year the Woodside group was redshirted. After that we have not even had a competitive game in Fargo. We been clobbered and clobbered bad. Thats what I am referring to. I dont know where you get this notion that I was implying it was a foreign concept. I watched 2 or 3 of these Fargo slaughters and they were not pretty, but they were painful. The first win that NDSU got in the transition period was by 40 pts. I was driving west towards Fargo on I-94 the monday after that win and a car load of NDSU students read my SD license on my car and honked and waved at me with big smiles. Thats a memory that is not forgotten.

I agree 100%. It's gonna be a big boost to us to have 5th years seniors like NDSU this year. That extra year of strength and experience is crucial IMO.

    Re: NDSU Game Thread

This is kinda a late entry into this thread, but I (NDSU graduate, but raised/resident of again SoDak boy) really wanted to get some of my thoughts out after being at the game:

-That by far had to have been the best game Cordova has played until this point in his career right? He seemed like he was lights out for a few different stretches and it was unbelievable that our best D against him was putting Tveidt on him. Perhaps too much movement? Or just working as hard for the position? Either way great game by him.

-The 17 offensive rebounds SDSU got was totally unacceptable, but it was easy to understand because of how much more athletic SDSU is as a team. But overall it didn't seem to hurt us as bad as if they would've scored all those easy lay-ups they had but missed. If SDSU makes their lay-ups, they win by around 10 in regulation.

-Frost Arena is a great atmosphere, even when the students aren't completely into it. I was standing at the rail behind the student section about 25 feet from the "Woody-lovers" and it was crazy how loud it still got. I'm not sure if you all realize this, but that venue is certainly worth at least 10 points on any given night. This could end up being a huge disadvantage come the LC as the Arena will be easier for the visiting teams.

-Overall I was very impressed by how well SDSU played tonight as a team. Obviously when you're playing a team like NDSU with your best 3 players all being seniors and the leaders of the team, its a difficult task.

-I would look at next year's teams to flip flop in abilities. I don't disagree with any of you that have said SDSU will be the better team next year, at least at first glance. You don't just go and replace the #1 and #2 (Winks maybe) all-time career scorers. NDSU will be playing a completely different style of ball next year, but don't count us out. Word is the JC transfer from Northern Iowa is very talented as has been giving Wood a pretty good workout.

-After watching both Fiegen and White play a few different times in high school (have some very good friends from Madision), I would say it really will depend on how they look in the fall. Give them a chance, but don't have these huge expectations on them. Look at Kai and AC, then look at these two. How much stronger and more developed are Kai and AC? If you really think that next year is your year, then play 'em, otherwise let them get used to the college game and redshirt 'em. Oakland is going to be awefully tough to be next year as they return pretty much everybody.

-Also, yes, we have some retarded fans, but what school doesn't? I've met some from SDSU too. It happens. Nobody has any reason to complain about the reffing whatsoever, because it was horrid for both sides. With about 1:30 to go when Vaughn was goin to hoop, he charged and traveled and they still called a foul on SDSU - couldn't believe it.

Apologize for the long rant, but after reading all 33 pages of this thread, I really felt like I needed to chime in. Good job tonight and good luck the rest of the way.

I don't think he will but I think it will be a lot like Dale Moss where they aren't sure until right before the season starts, depending on how the team looks with them, without them... and so on..... If Davis comes back healthy then you could see them maybe red-shirting Feigen.

I think if Nagy wants to put some dollars in the job security bank, he will not fool around with redshirting.
