    I don't know how realist our chances are at being able to bring in this kid, but it might be better than one would think. Even though he scored a mind boggling amount of points and is 6'10", it didn't seem like he had very many BCS school offers (I don't believe Tubby ever offered him either). Most likely this is due to people questioning the competition he played against as well as his slender frame, but he still is rated favorably by the recruiting sites (3 star by Rivals, 4 star by Scout, and a 92 by ESPN). It will be interesting to see if Coach Nagy makes a move for him, and if Noreen would have any interest in coming to SDSU.
    Word on the Gopher board is that Northwestern is very interested in Noreen. Given that he apparently has a high GPA and Northwestern's ranking in academics,plus the chance to play in the Big 10 would seem to make this a good fit.

      Yah, that would definitely make sense for him to end up at Northwestern. I honestly have no clue if we'd be interested in him or if he'd be interested in us, but might as well throw out potential recruiting options due to us having four scholarships available.

        What's up with all of these Minnesota recruits that can't make up their mind. On ESPN's list of the top 19 rated players - 8 have signed with schools, 1 has verbal with Columbia, Seantrel Henderson is going to play football, 8 are undeclared, and now Noreen has joined that list.

        I love my Gopher state heritage, but I'm excited that we've locked up who we have.

              I do think the kid can play somewhere, but ask yourself....is this kid really a D-1 guard?

                  What is a D-1 guard? Was Butler really a national contender this year? Could 5'9" Ben Woodside really drive amongst the trees and score? I tend to think outside of the box sometimes. I thought coaches looked for the potential to grow, not always on the firm product. All players have to mature once they step foot on the college court.

                    Not based on anything I've heard or seen. Especially not based on that youtube video. I can play better defense and I'm more than twice as old as those kids.

                      It's summer league, come on. Who plays defense in the summer? Well, looks like it's off to Univ. of Sioux Falls for Carl. After a year of averaging 3 points per game, SDSU might pick him up then! (self warning for smack in non-smack thread) Okay, okay. I'm done. He apparently is not D1 material.

                        I don't hear or see everything. Summer league, great memories. We use to kick everybody's butt because we played team ball all year round, on defense and offense.

                          If I recall correctly, they were a top 15 team at the beginning of the year and spent a great deal of the time nationally ranked. That being said, I will leave the talent evaluating to the profess-ion-als.









                          And of course by professionals I include everyone that can PROFESS on the contribut ION any recruit could give to A L eague title.

                            Yup, we got a couple of WALK ONs from USF. Both kids could have walked on out of high school but they went to USF first.

                              Word out of of USF is that Rader is heading there. Someone very inside their program says that it's down to USF or "some college in Colorado" but that Rader probably goes to USF b/c he wants to stay close to his girl. Would be a good get for USF.
