What was the false Wilde report?

The lists seem random for sure.

They said on a podcast that Wilde was going to Louisville. They did the right thing though and apologized when they found out it was false.

No hate to those guys I’m just confused on the list.

I would guess that they have some information they trust highly that they can’t share.

      • After a couple of days with lots of good news, it seems like this could be a tough weekend with all the visits to Pullman happening. Hopefully at least a handful of those find that the grass may not be greener in the Pacific Northwest.

Def on the coast but is that also true of eastern Washington? The players wanting to go to a wetter climate might be devastated to learn that Pullman isnt Seattle.

              • It rains more in Brookings then Pullman. Brookings is desolate compared to many areas, but Pullman is on another level.

Some gorgeous country around there, but around Pullman, it's pretty bleak.

i think a few players are going to find out that the grass isn't always greener...

Had a former colleague approach me looking for guidance after his manager had left and then offered him a position at the new company. My question to him was "Is he approaching you because it benefits you, or because hit benefits him?". He eventually left after initially saying no. And found out it was not to his benefit.

Feels like the coaches that have left are looking out for themselves and not the players. If all three RB's end up at WSU, someone is going to be left in out of the rotation, considering there are probably guys from WSU staying as well. So then at the end of spring who ends up back in the portal?

I wish the players the best, just wish the coaching were considering what's best for the players and not what will help them in the short term.

                      • Now in portal Kent State QB Tommy Ulatowski (kent state page) just followed Dan Jackson. 2 years eligibility.

Not sure what to make of Tak Tateoka. Does it seem likely he goes to Washington State as a QB from the Pioneer League?

it will be a definite blessing to have all of the coaches they have grown up with, so to speak, but they likely will find that Pullman is a LONG LONG way from home and it is not simple for anyone to come watch them or to go back home. of course some people care less about that than others

but Pullman is not an easy sell. for players from Florida, Vorhees and others, it is literally about as far away from home as you could be and still be in the US.

                          • I think unless the NFL Tight Ends are able to convince Stoffel to stay, he's gone.

Stoffel is following an Auburn person, an MSU person, a Wake asst coach, Illinois tight ends coach, IU head coach

Following him: Wake Forest dir of offense player personnel, IU (Indiana) beat reporter, Michigan State offensive analyst/qbs, Northwestern GM of Roster Development and Retention, Florida Gators Director of Collegee Personnel, Gator recruiting reporter, Boston College, Fresno State, Illinois, JMU, Kansas, Alabama TE recruiting specialist, NC State, Tulsa

it is difficult to understand why all 3 RBs would think about leaving, even more difficult if all 3 end up in pullman. it makes more sense the defensive guys going with a defense oriented HC and a DC who have produced historically excellent defense

the offense was not nearly the same last year and it is not like any of the RB was set up as the next great RB, so why follow those coaches? it was always obvious that we would hire someone who would maintain our foundational values and that means a commitment to running the ball at a school that has produced multiple noteworthy RBs
