Tucker we need you back!! all of the crazy Jacks fans here love you and love your story and we want to see you be one of the BIG reasons that your / our school comes back from a tough loss in the semis and additional tough losses off the field and shows everyone that the Jacks are not going anywhere except back to the very top!!

your story is the story of Jackrabbit football. Coach Stig was an underdog who was doubted every step of the way. Like Stig you started as an undersized, underestimated, undervalued kid who few people believed in. Coach Stig and the coaches who were raised by him did believe in you. and YOU put in the time, the sweat, and the energy to prove them right and make yourself into a key part of a championship team!!
you made yourself into a TEAM CAPTAIN!! all the other 2024 captains graduated. your team needs you back. they need you to lead them back to the championship and prove to everyone that no matter how many times we get knocked down that we will keep getting up!!

I understand that Jimmy has been an important part of your life. he has been important to all of us. you love Jimmy. we love Jimmy! but Jimmy left. if you want to follow him, it is understandable. WSU is NOT winning anything close to a championship next year. they most likely will never do that. if Jimmy says you can play at WSU, I believe him. but at WSU you will just be a guy who followed a coach there for a short time. at SDSU you are already a hero and a legend, but you have a chance to be one of THE key legendary guys who led your team back to the championship when plenty of people said it could not be done

Tucker, we need you to stay. there are still things to be done, things that you can do HERE, that could never be done at WSU or really anywhere else
    I think that's a dang good idea.

Nate Brown had a discussion about whether fans should DM players trying to get them to stay (Brown had reports it was happening).

I wonder how helpful that is. I don't know how I'd receive that, although if I pretended I was thinking of leaving Brookings and Shania or Keri contacted me to insist I stay, I'd find that compelling.

It'd be cool if we could make the upcoming Spring Game a Player and Coach Appreciation Event. I'd pitch in to help with that.

They had an item about a colossal number of recruits that I've mentioned in earlier posts (in case you're wondering this was a different columnist exercising adjectivial brilliance).

Not much detail, but the comments have thread drift rivaling my SDSU ice cream mentions (with those crazy Cougs discussing rockers and edibles when wishing Wilde was headed there)

I get that after 4 or 5 years at school, any student would start to get a little restless. Still, a guy like Francl could probalby go play P4 ball and make some money. I've said it before, these guys in the final year of eligibility won't play a meaningful game of CFB again (I know meaningful is subjective - by meaningful I mean games with championship implications). If a guy is going to relocate himself for one year, why not go somewhere where you can get paid and play meaningful football?

Also, can't we be spared the whole "thanks ...... that being said..." crap? Just say it - I'm going to play backwater FBS football.
I wish "that being said" could be banished to Irregardless Island

there's this Northwestern fan on twitter who is furious with all of the SDSU people the team is getting. part of it is related to them maybe granting an exception for Wilde since they don't usually take juniors. He asked why not open the gates for a Bama or Miami player rather than a SDSU one.

I think he'll enter as a spring semester sophomore? Someone should tell them

Yes, I saw that peavy posted while I was adding links to my post. The Coug site has a story about Durrance feeling like he owed it to Rogers to follow, and one commenter indicated 30mins ago that the Large commitment announcement was "premature," a subsequent comment less than 1min ago suggests Large is also considering Northwestern

I should note that I do not see corresponding speculation on the 247 Northwestern board, but there hasn't been much activity there for a couple weeks.

One reason for hope -- the same "article" includes portions of a purported interview with Vorhees, but there is no corresponding interview with Large.
