Not saying they might not've jumped the gun, but the 247 WSU crew is on record saying Large is headed there.

One reason for hope -- the same "article" includes portions of a purported interview with Vorhees, but there is no corresponding interview with Large.

His latest injury would've had me deeply conflicted about advocating his return to the Jacks. He's a great player, but I just hope he doesn't detrimentally impact his long-term health

    Why not both ?

DO NOT get me wrong!! I am excited to see Chase get his shot and to see what he can do!! AND he was one of the very first guys to say HE WAS STAYING and I LOVE THAT!!! but just from curiosity more than anything, do you think Mark would be staying or thinking about it, if not for Chase?

I think that is definitely a good possibility. you talk about basically guys having a competitive spirit and wanting to rally together and come back and go out on top after falling short this year. I think that is TOTALLY who Mark is!! i am guessing it is sitting badly with him to lose his final game and final 2 vs ndsu after never losing to them before and never losing a playoff game that he finished

I very much believe Mark is taking a page from the book of Stig. Stig stepped down when he would prefer to stay to give Jimmy a shot with a GREAT team. Mark is stepping down to give his friend and brother his chance to start.
i realize that his basically always been the plan. play his 4 years and move on to the pros or to an fbs school if he was advised to do that. but I think ending on a loss would have made him think about staying except for Chase.

anyway. i am only curious, nothing more. Mark has nothing left to prove and he is easily in the discussion of the greatest Jacks footballer ever.
I agree but with a grad transfer I can fully understand it! They gave us 4 years. Get a little pocket money and a graduate degree from a very high level institution that is more specific to your future career and it sets you up for life. I can’t be mad at a younger guy getting 6 figures either! It sucks, but it’s reality. There are going to be some kids that transfer because of promises made and they may play some the first year and then the coaches get a transfer in front of them for their final year or two of their career. The loyalty to their coaches is admirable but the pressure to win at the next level is intense and it will over ride the loyalty in reverse.

At this point, I just want the coaches named, the players committed to wherever they want to go and move on with who wants to be here. Playing time is open and those that stay or come here are going to get their chances to prove themselves.

WR room is crowded. Can he play DB? DT? Can he kick?

instead of the group of guys rallying together and say we are coming back and winning it next year you transfer to Washington state or Notthwestern? They aren’t winning anything at either of those places. Most aren’t getting a large paycheck either.

I’m really confused about the offensive guys leaving as Jimmy clearly favored the defensive guys (rightly so) and we had new offensive coordinators that certainly didn’t set the world on fire.

What a joke, those guys aren’t real jackrabbits.
The guys who stay and build this thing back will be the real jackrabbits. I don’t get how you look at the guys you have been in the room with the past 1-4 seasons and say nah man I’m out, I’m going to Washington State.

I’ll root for Mark whatever he decides, he clearly said he was leaving due to Chase and he’s literally given us everything he had. The rest, if they don’t want to be Jackrabbits, then I could care less.
Sucks seeing more guys leave every day. I’ll be happy when it’s done and we can focus on who wants to be part of this program.

Or they're trying to get Stoffel to bite on a reduced NIL deal by thinking they'll opt for teammate instead

Good thing they didn't see Brenner last year, given his blocking aptitude.

I wonder if some of those social media follows are coaches casting a wide net now in case FCS teams have attrition following FBS teams trimming their rosters to prevent exceeding the new roster limits.
