Omaha can't make the tourny so really it comes down to seeding doesn't it?

Also since we split with ndsu but we beat western and ndsu lost according to the tie breaker doesn't that line us up for the 1st seed as of now.

The men have 4 teams with winning record in conference. That is 1 more than the women at this time. It may have a better light if there was a winning record out of conference even though some had a tough OOC. For the top teams it is the on going idea to win the next game to position for the tourney to win 3 more. Tiebreakers are what we need to consider if we do not win the next game.

Yes. We control our own destiny thanks to the WIU win. See the tie-breaker rules I posted below.

The games today should not have any big surprises on the men's side unless Omaha or the yotes go offensive and outscore the Griz or bison. There should not be any big shake up today. It will be a tough road to earn the first tourney game with IUPUI. Next week the Dakotas go to Oakland/Ft Wayne.

The women ought to keep order today as well. There is only 3 teams over .500 in the conference and Omaha could make it to .500 today with a win. Oakland's injuries could lock them in for the 8 seed unless the bison push them out of the cellar.

The UNO men currently lead OU 47-43 at halftime. That's one to watch.

As for tonight, go Coyotes! I'd also wish IUPUI luck against WIU, but they need a lot more than just luck!

If I was a sportwriter, I may use the word "upset" in describing the NDSU women winning 57-50 at USD. That result really surpised me.

Maybe ndsu was a little upset how the game in fargo ended up so they were ready to take one back.

The largest item on the scoring appears to be Tempest Wilson 2-12 shooting. Yotes also had 15 to compared to's 10 for bison. Tempest is probably the most important player for yotes. There were not many fouls called on either team, but the bison shot 14 ft's to yotes 4 ft's. It is a head scratcher when yotes lose at the dome when the game has them sliding in seed for the tourney.

Upset indeed, and probably a costly one for USD.

After building up quite a head of steam recently the Coyote faithful sure were silenced by the results of their games this week. Going 0-4 will do that.

Unfortunately there will be no Summit games on Midco tomorrow night. I would have loved to see NDSU/OU MBB. I have a feeling that Oakland might decide the winner of the the men's champion this week. It would not surprise me at all to see them beat either SDSU or NDSU (but probably not both). Oakland has only lost one time at home this year (USD - how the hell did that happen?). Hopefully they will beat the Bison tomorrow and then we will go collect our first-ever win on their court Saturday.
