I don't. These guys deserve every bit of bad rep they're gonna get from this.

That said....hopefully, HOPEFULLY.... THIS time, maybe he'll/they'll learn from this.

          That recording is absolutely nuts.

That team manager seems like a decent kid though and was just caught up in the wrong group. I hope he's able to keep going after his dream.

Meh...these 3 deserve whatever they get. They had every intent to burglarize/steal/rob (whatever you want to call it) that night.

I have to agree and they will not be shown much lenency in court. It so sad. I suspect their are two or four once very proud grandparents about my age. How do they feel now? Very low I would suspect and my heart goes out to them. Why young people fail to see the consequences of their actions, is something we will never know. Experience in life is everything, and unfortunately, Cody is about to experience some bad experience. Stu and the Argus are really in a stew now. How do you spin this one?

What really seems so sad is that he had a high GPA in high school and a good score on ACT. Something is lacking here. Where is the family support system?

Spin? Where on earth is the "spin" in the Argus Leader reports? I think the Anti-Stu sentiment is getting the better of you!

As for family support system, Cody's parents have been divorced for several years.

Yes was not Cody Larson one of the all time greats at Roosvelt High? He was so great that Stu had him -pegged for the NBA. S@it happens and I do not feel and remorse for your buddy Stu or Paul Seville or any of you SF hot shots.

In fact I am laughing at you guys as you spin away on Sports Talk and the other media outlets. Parenting or the lack of it appears to be an issue with Cody and whoever had custody can now be very proud of themselves or very regretfull for doing such a horrible job.

Laugh away if you wish. However, you should probably have your facts straight first.

This incident involving Cody has not been discussed on my show. It has not even been mentioned. The off court problems of a 19 year old kid, even if he is a high profile athlete, is not something I choose to cover.

Could that change? Maybe. However, I have had 19 year olds that made mistakes and would not want that played out in a public forum. I can't stop it, but that does not mean I have to contribute to it.

I think this rotten weather has gotten the best of your usual jovial nature, Nidaros.

I like what you do on the radio and listen often. You almost always cover the positive side of sports, which is nice. But I have to ask:

Did your show cover the USF college athletes who got themselves into trouble earlier this year?

If not, I commend you for having standards and sticking to them.

I'll give Stu some credit, he wrote a pretty good column about another wasted opportunity and so on.

Here is why some people including myself attack the SuFu media, because since he was in the 8th grade he was tagged as the great ole mighty, any time he got in any trouble it was just a kid being a kid or something. And it was excuse after excuse by certain people (not everyone). This kid has unbelievable talent, talent that I'd give parts of my body not allowed to be mentioned to have, and it appears that he has thrown it down the toilet, and yet will probably still get another chance because of it. Every(most) kid gets in to trouble, but when you are a D-I athlete you are subject to the criticism that comes with it.

I will say this if Mike Miller went to college today with the 24 hour news cycle, the social media and everything that his image might not be what it was today.

I feel bad for Cody.........it appears he truly doesn't understand the gifts he has been given and how very close he is to throwing them all away.

One of the quandries of having great physical skills is that if they aren't matched with a certain level of humility and being humble, the owner of said skills will exploit them for all they are worth. All Cody appears to understand or feel at this point in his life is that he will continue to get multiple second chances. Here is a young man that didn't get a chance to finish his high school career because of legal problems yet still had his pick of colleges. After he bailed on his first college commitment he still had Billy Donovan, Bill Self and others come knocking on his door wanting his services.....no wonder the kid doesn't get it. Not to be mean spirited but I hope he gets a decent jail sentence out of this....something has to send the message home before it is too late.

                            Unfortunately a 3.7 GPA and a 23 ACT doesn't equal common sense.

Unless things have changed, a 3.7 GPA seems awful high for a 23 ACT score.

I'm also not sure what you've been paying attention to. Stu and the Argus haven't given Larson any slack over the past few days. In fact, he just went off on a big time rant on Craig & John about how he's gotten lots of people telling him to lay off and he's basically saying that this is news and it needs to be reported.

I find nothing wrong with anyone talking about this issue. It's complete public information. Does the kid need to be stoned and ripped apart? Probably not, but a lot of this is deserved.
