    Re: Rabbit Bracketology

As of Friday afternoon at about 5:00, here's your guide for who to root for/against in the remaining conference championships to potentially improve SDSU's seeding (if that's what you want to do, of course . . . if you want to play in Minneapolis, that might not be the best strategy. Isn't "bracketology" fun?)

Big South - Root for Radford

Colonial - Root against James Madison

Horizon - Root against Green Bay and Butler

Missouri Valley - Root against Creighton and Illinois State

Pac-10 - Root for Oregon State

    Patriot - Root for American

    WAC - Root for Nevada.

Something tells me Nebraska and SDSU may very well both wind up in Minneapolis, even if they have to drop Nebraska to a 2 or SDSU to a 16 . . .

      AP article at ESPN:
      Economic loss could accompany bid

so, what are the odds that the selection committee finds away to face us against Baylor first round?

Baylor got bounced out of the Big 12 tournament in the quarterfinals today (along with Iowa State) and looks like a 4-5 seed; I don't think SDSU will be seeded high enough to face either Baylor or Iowa State.

A trip to Oklahoma is possible to face the Sooners, especially if they get to the Big 12 finals.

Oklahoma, Texas A &M, Notre Dame, Ohio State all look like 3 or 4 seeds.

Slim. The selection criteria say to try to avoid repeating matchups from last year's tournament.

Agreed...also I believe Charlie had us completely wrong last year as well. I think you are going to see us in MPLS with Nebraska. It seems economical and logical. I don't think the selection committee is into doing anybody, anwywhere, anyyime, any favors.

Odds are increasing we will get Neb. They are down 15 with 12 to go against TA&M with Griffin having 4 Personals already.

I agree, they went 30-1 in one of the toughest conferences in the country. They still deserve the #1 seed.

Although they -did- play in the weaker half of it--not saying they don't deserve the #1 seed; just pointing out that 30-1 in the southern division would be a whole other level of achievement.

I suspect the committee might take a dump on the Huskers and give the #1 to the Big 12 tournament winner.

You would not want to play a Cornhusker team denied a #1 seed.....

Agree. I also think both the Jacks and Neb will end up in mnpls. I would rather play Neb on a neutral floor in Mnpls than Iowa State on their home floor in Ames. An additional team that may just end up in Mnpls is Wisc Green Bay. Would that be interesting? Correct me if I am wrong but is that not where AJ was an eyelash away from being their head Coach?

Regardless of where the Jacks end up it was another outstanding season for our Lady Jacks.

Was at a sports bar in Washington,DC friday night. On the first floor were ACC fans and games, on the second floor where we were, were the Big Twelve games and fans. My table was next to the Baylor fans. I was wearing my SDSU hoodie and told them how much I detested Baylor and Crybaby Kim Mulkey. Glad they got bounced in the tournament even with One Punch Griner back in the game. Oh did I say I detest Baylor.
