Also listening to KWSN right now, could Craig Mattick be a bigger jerk. He keeps going on and on about how juniors shouldn't commit. Come on Craig in a couple of months she'll be a senior, when should she commit?
    Craig isn't a jerk, he's more of a nimrod.

This is a very good verbal commitment for the Jacks. This girl is talented. Congratulations Gabby and the Jackrabbits!

Noticed Gabby and her Dad had a couple of other girls and parents with them at the game. One wearing a New Prague Jacket and the other Centennial (Circle Pines). Some pretty good Juniors on those two good teams.

            From the Argus

"SDSU made a scholarship offer to Boever - the middle of 11 children - during her freshman year, but she took visits to Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton and Drake before accepting."

            Sounds like a nice addition.

IMO Barden is the top AA junior in the state...size, atheticism, can go to the basket, and can shoot the three...

Well here is someone that we have an interest in recruiting.

Standing a shade more than 6 feet, 3 inches, the 17-year-old Christofferson is generating a buzz from more than just the teeny-boppers around school. The junior leads all Iowa players with a 26.9 scoring average and has scholarship offers from Iowa and Iowa State. Numerous others — including Creighton, Nebraska, Drake, Northern Iowa, Kansas, Bradley and South Dakota State — have shown heavy interest.
You can read the entire story here.

According to the article, her sister attends Iowa State. But if she wanted to go there that badly, she could have accepted their scholarship offer already. I wish her luck in her decision.

Also has a 4.0 grade point average. Seems like she might be a good fit. Make a run in the tournament and show her she could be part of something special.

Definitely looks like "Jackrabbit" material. She may be waiting for the Jacks to offer her.

If that's the case---what a testimony to AJ & co., that this girl's got Iowa and Iowa State on hold while waiting on SDSU......

I saw about a 6'0 rather athletically built (one doesn't know how to phrase these things--she was no will o' the wisp) kid wearing a "Hanson Classic" t-shirt and whiffs at the Oakland game. Since it was junior day, I figured she might've been a recruit.

                        Re: 2010 Recruiting

At the suggestion of a member, I moved all of the posts discussing Sam Ostarello, the Stanley County standout who is committed to Purdue, to a separate thread under the Around South Dakota section. That will enable viewers who want to see the latest posts on 2010 recruits to continually check this thread when they see there have been new posts, without running into information about Ostarello, a member of the 09 class who is not an SDSU recruit.

Nothing wrong with the discussion on Ostarello...just moved it to a different place.

we have an abundance of talent at the gaurd position, but if really ,really good gaurds continue to want to play here, you can't hardly turn down good talent, you can alway's press for 40 min while substituting alot i suppose
would be nice though to get some tall , lanky players, we've got too few right now,but they're young.

Well, most of SDSU's #2s are really #2/3s.

Heck, even the small and slightly built Jill Young is pulling down the boards like a power forward. BTW: I think she's still struggling with SDSU's team defense, but she's getting better.

Also: I ain't gonna call Jennie Sunnarborg lanky.

I'd think with 3 guards coming in with Eide, Paluch, and Heiser that one of them would probably red-shirt. All 3 of these are guards right, or is Eide more of a 3/4 player?
