I know a lot of kids/people that have went to OSU for a grad degree. Granted it's mostly ag. But It's a midwest school that is comparable to us.

That was my point, it doesn't seem like a big step up academically. Didn't know their MS in Data Science was ranked that high. Hope it works out, I'm rooting for her.

Just stating if I had a choice where to get an advanced degree that was paid for, Virginia would have beat out OK State every time.

      • Holy **** guys. She is getting paid, getting to play in big arenas against big time teams and gets her Masters for free. Who the **** would turn that down?
One hand points to campus...the other to the liquor store.

        • x and Instagram official. Big12 on ESPN+ is nice (won't have to deal with b1g plus/peacock). Would be cool if they could turn this into a H&H this upcoming season. I'll have to ask if Kelsey Musick & Arkansas were in the mix. She's trying to rebuild a roster, so she'll be very active (has 1 former ORU player per on3).

          • Each individual has their own priorities, goals and other life factors that are unique to their own personal situations. It's no different than one of us choosing a different job opportunity that we think fits our personal situation best. It's not different b/c they wear uniforms and play a game. That's really the simplest way to look at this new world of NIL. I wish Timmer and Jenna nothing but the best going forward.

Definitely don't begrudge either of them, although I admit I selfishly hoped I'd be able to cheer both on for another season

                • Last night Zach Borg and Mallory Miller's dad on X had alot of info exchange about transfers/NCAA money. It was interesting read. Sorry, I cannot pull the X info into my post right now.

Opportunity there to play more, which she wants to obviously do. Good luck Jenna, see you next season on the court.

Good luck Jenna. Hope she finds what she is looking for. Seemed like a great girl. Alex Flattery signed with them too. I believe she was on the AAU team with 4 of the freshman that signed with SDSU last year so there will be a lot of familiar faces when the teams play each other.

                        Meister to Kansas.

                        • Pulling a legit post out of the portal is going to be tough for the Jacks because you are competing with big schools that got cash and a need for good post players!

I guess time will tell. obviously, having some cash to throw around sure never hurts

                            BUT
Kansas was 16-14, 6-12 in conference, and Elle Evans is the tallest returning player

SDSU- 30-4, yep THIRTY and 4
ranked in both polls to end the season
returning 4 players with significant PT including 2 starters
been to TWELVE NCAA in the last 15 years including 3 in a row

and I do believe we have reached the point that if AJ believes someone is the correct fit that we do have at least a little money to put in the pot

clearly EVERY player will have their own priorities, but I dont think it is all that hard to find some players that would be interested in joining a 30 win team that has more than a legit shot to go to the NCAA EVERY year. I think the other piece of the puzzle is that it is pretty clear that AJ aint just throwing the net out there and taking the first 6'3+ girl to come along. the fit matters to him

finally, I would be incredibly curious to know the thought process on this one. that seems like a rather tough sell to me. how good was the cash and if cash is THE priority was there not a single other school that could offer cash that was close that would seem to have a much better shot at going to the NCAA next year?

If she's a back to the basket true post player, she maybe wants to go somewhere where she can start and play big minutes. At SDSU she would likely be coming off the bench and backing up Brooklyn. And we saw when starting Brooklyn and Kallie that the offense suffered when playing two posts together. So who can blame Meister if she can go to a Big XII school, play big minutes and get some cash.

                              • not sure if it was clear but i was definitely NOT blaming anyone for anything

as I said every player will have their own set of priorities and for some of them SDSU will not be the best fit for those priorities.

but I was also responding to an idea that SDSU is a tough sell in the age of schools that can offer cash. OF COURSE some players will put cash at or near the top of the list. but I find it impossible to believe that there are not plenty of players who will want to come to a school where they are nearly guaranteed to go to the NCAA and also have a great shot to win 25 ish games

as far as a Brooklyn type back to the basket post, if they have only one year left, of course they may not want to come and divide minutes with or backup Brooklyn. that type of player with multiple years left, might be very happy to play with Brooklyn for a year and take her place after that

there are also other type of post players. a player like Mesa or Tagyn Larson who is more athletic and can cut and pass and step outside a little would be great. a Myah type who can play in or out would be awesome, but those would be also in greater demand
