    Re: Minnesota at Frost

Looking at attendance at the other WNIT games, the only ones who came close to our crowd was Montana, and they lost their last game. And UTEP. They have had over 4000 for their games. So i guess we need to cheer for them to lose and hope we keep winning and get more home games.

Indiana had just under 2500 on Sunday.

They were charging $6 for adults. That might effect the bid. UTEP is also charging $6 for adults general admission and $4 for students. 4000 x$6=$24,000. SDSU is charging $20 for adults and 2000x$20=$40,000. That might have something to do with the bids. Unless there is a school supplementing these bids, SDSU ought to be in the running as we look forward.

If Banham or Zahui get in foul trouble early, SDSU shouldn't have a problem imo. The Jacks held Maggie Lucas in check when she visited Frost (7-21 shooting, 20 points) so i don't see why they can't hold a 80% Banham in check. Minnesota is expecting to only dress 7 players. I think our depth will help us pull away about midway through the 2nd half. I just don't want to see another slow start by the Jacks. Get the ball inside early and rack up fouls on them.

Thought when i went to bed last night, the weather forcast wasnt going to be too bad. Maybe some rain and snow but looked like it would move out mid afternoon. Now it looks like 2-5 inches from mitchell through brookings and north. Hope they are wrong.

I almost expect that we win tonight. That's kinda cool when you figure we are playing a Big 10 team.

weather currently is about 35 and raining. Hopefully the raining part reduces the anticipated amount of snow. Noon to 3pm is supposed to be in the 30-32 degree range and warm slightly for the next couple of hours to 33 and quit raining/snowing.

snow let up and 32 degrees, but it is still sort of steady with big flakes. It is not a real good day to walk the dog with NNE 21 mph wind.

I'm still planning on driving down from Watertown. It's 12:30 p.m. now...everything has a light coating of ice and we've picked up maybe an inch of snow. It's still snowing we it appears to be letting up some. Just have to drive carefully!

We missed the earlier ice as the rain went straight to big snowflakes. It looks like 2"+ wet snow on sidewalks. the radar shows we are getting close to the end of the precipitation. It will probably worse early traveling vs later. It is a bit slushy around Brookings. Add some time for travel.

Anyone remember that last game we played at the Gopher Barn? It was a blizzard driving home, so today's weather is mild compared to that.
