    Re: Minnesota at Frost

Rodent karma. The Gopher women have to come to Frost to play the Rabbits. The game might not be good for Coach Borton's job security, but it should be a treat for SDSU fans.

i would be surprised if the jacks don't see banham. think there was a similar situation with her earlier in the season---on the floor writhing in pain. didn't put any weight on her leg and had to be helped to the locker room. seemed like it happened in the first half, but, came out and played the second half---no limping or showing any effects from earlier injury. banham is claiming she will be ready for the next game. seems like she's a "quick healer".

A common story idea when a smaller school plays a larger school in the region, is to feature player who may be 'playing with a chip on their shoulder because they weren't recruited by the other school.' I wonder how many on the Gopher roster will be playing with a chip on their shoulder because AJ didn't offer recruit them or if he did, he didn't offer a scholarship.

I will enjoy meeting up with family and friends at this game on Thursday. I would expect to see a significant bump in attendance, with the attraction of finally getting the Gophers to Frost Arena being a big part of it. I think the attendance to this point was predictable, as the WNIT is now a consolation prize for us, but the advancement in the tournament has now created a good opportunity for this team and the program. But the fact that the opponent is Minnesota will also drive more fans.

Thoughts on a "Blue out" we could likely get the Ath, dept to buy in. Yellow(gold) and white are Minny colors. Who's in?

The Gopher fans that are there would more than likely be wearing Maroon , which is their primary color.

Apparently Banham has a foot sprain and is expected to play with pain on Thursday. Also , McDaniel , one of the point guards out with a concussion has been cleared to play . So , the Gophers will have 8 players available for the game.

I hope Banham plays. Pam Bortan doesn't need another excuse on why they lost to SDSU again.

Isn't that a typo, wasn't it actually UND?

The typo is in the article... Gophers did not play NDSU. They beat UND 46-44.

I have heard ticket sales are brisk. All reserved and adult general admission tickets are $20. Want to take the kids? General admission for kids (grades K-12) are $7. Students need seats? The first 500 University students can pick up free tickets at the Jackrabbit TicketOffice. When the first 500 student tickets are gone, University student tickets can purchase a ticket for $5 each. Now, is there a reason students cannot attend? I hope not: a raucous student crowd would be appreciated!
