    Re: Ipfw gdt

Nice win for the ladies. Poor IPFW has an 18-8 record and can only draw a crowd of 184 for a home game.

I noticed IPFW was without Kayla Drake. She had 27 pts and 10 steals at Frost.

You have to watch this post game video of Coach Paul. This guy makes every excuse in the book for their loss to SDSU. I like his competitiveness but what an excuse maker: injuries, shots almost falling, calls not going their way, blah blah blah. Our list of why the game was close could be long too, but I guarantee SDSU doesn't use excuses.
He says he wants us in the tournament. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR COACH PAUL!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind playing them again, only this time lets get a varsity officiating crew that won't take every single one of our post players out of the game. Ooops, I sound like Coach Paul.

I truly hope the Jacks gets a chance to see this video.

This was the type of game that the 08-09 team found ways to win. SDSU had a HORRIBLE NIGHT for shooting. How did they win? Held the two leading scorers for IPFW to 10 points. This was a CLAMP down DEFENSIVE win.

Hats off to Macie and Schutt, they came through with clutch performances last nite. Macie hit shots, and made thing happen offensively, but she also was instrumental in taking some charges that really stemmed the Dons charge.

On a night when Rotert, Sunnaborg, and Lingle COMBINED for less than 15 points, the rest of the team got the W. This was a HUGE confidence building win.

Still need Oakland to lose to either UMKC or SUU on their road swing + Jacks win vs Bison for a #3 seed. The better Bison/Jacks do in the tourney, the better the attendence.

All I will say on this, is the more I listened to this, the more it stood out, he is getting cocky but it felt like compensation... His team caught us on one of our worst shooting nights of the year and we still found a way to win. All his talk of us not wanting to see them again? Nope. He knows we meet again, we win running away. We are in their heads not the other way around. had they found a way to win this.. Yes, but we found the win.

leeshajo, you hit the nail right on the head. I'm with you on this one. Coach Paul can keep making his excuses and use the "rah rah" stuff. But fact of the matter is we are in your heads because you use us as the standard, not the other way around.

Hey coach, think of it this way, we have won 7 out of our last 8 games, and the 2 were losses in OT before that. You sure you want to play the hottest team in the summit again? ORU with out binham is beatable, oakland if they dont get carnago back is beatable IMO, We should not have lost to IPFW so I doubt we would in the tourny,

If we beat NDSU, I feel we would be the team to beat in the tourny again. If we play to our potential, no one in the summit will beat us.

Our women are playing great, I will give them that. But, I wouldn't put them as the team to beat. ORU, even without Bingham, is a very good team. IPFW is good as well. The "home court" advantage that the Jacks have had in the past is gone this year.

We may not be the team to beat, but every team in the league wants to beat the Jacks in Sioux Falls to shut all of us up.

IMO, there are 2-3 teams that could win the tournament this year and that includes SDSU. I actually like the fact that the tournament is up in the air. It will make things more exciting when we do, hopefully, go dancing again.

IF we beat NDSU we will be 8-1 our last 9 games, No one else in the confrence can say that, we are the hottest team, if not the team to beat, we are the team no one should want to play for sure.

I'm confused...why is the "home court advantage" gone this year in Sioux Falls?

I won't disagree with your statement, but they did lose a few right away without Bingham. We'll see how good they are after this upcoming weekend now that they've had some time to adjust to not having Bingham on the floor. That being said, I believe we lost by a few points to them and we only had 8 players.

A win by SDSU in Fargo to keep the streak going and I say we'll be the team to beat.

I'm not sure its gone but it is a little less as the other teams have experienced it. I'm not so sure all the excitement is warranted but I'm sure much more excited than I was 10 games ago.

This years Jackrabbit team is the most vulnerable we have seen in the DI era. We could lose in the first round of the tourney and that really was never a concern before.

On the flip side, the injuries and current performance of this team make it much more possible for SDSU to pull an upset or 2 and return to the big dance. I wasn't saying that 5 weeks ago.
