For all the "terrible" things he said, the one point that he made holds true to our current team. The swagger that they had has somewhat gone with the struggles this year and next. In the past, as he said, the Jacks would have walked onto that floor knowing that they were going to win my double digits.

It has been stated before, but the league is catching up with the Jacks. I, for one, am more than happy to see that happen. The better the conference, the better we look when we win it.

Not much said for the Summit when the second place team in the Summit loses to 10-16 independent SIU-Edwardsville by 11 points 72-61.That was an embarassing loss for the image of the Summit.

Southern Utah beat IPFW in Fort Wayne in December,so it could happen.

Wow, that's pretty harsh... IPFW is a much improved team from years in the past. Give credit where credit is due. You may not like the demeanor or comments of our coach, but our kids play hard every game. They are not over-achieving, they are realizing achievement after years of hard work. They have put together a pretty good season with some talented kids... just like your team is doing.

Hoping that Kayla Drake, who's been out with a concussion for 7 games -- and who lit you up for 27 points back in January -- will be back in playing shape come tournament time.

Best of luck to your team the rest of the way, except when and if playing the 'Dons, that is.

You may not like the demeanor or comments of our coach, but our kids play hard every game. They are not over-achieving, they are realizing achievement after years of hard work. It''s probably my fault . . . I probably made some flippant comment here some time in the past (after a game in War Memorial (a nice arena, it would be cool to see you guys fill it) where the Dons put a beat-down on the Jacks men's BB team) that "I hate IPFW" and it kinda took on a life of its own here on the board. I gotta own it, you know?

So you guys have become "The school that Filbert hates." A running joke, mostly. Actually, I rather like what IPFW has done with both the men's and women's basketball programs. And, I posted elsewhere on this board, in a way you're kind of SDSU's and NDSU's fraternal triplet in the Summit League, since we came into the conference in the same year, so I figure there's a bit of an extra connection there.

So, I hate IPFW. But it's all in good fun.
