I have watched the video a couple times and have yet to see why I should be angry about it. He didn't really say anything that was a lie.

SDSU is chasing them in the standings, our women do have a problem with fast guards, and we did have to play them until the final shot.

I agree with him that the 3 games in three days is an issue and not something that we should overlook.

I respect the fact you can watch it and not feel a little bit upset SoDakJack. How about one excuse after another why they lost? He inferred that a few calls late may have helped us win. I would respond to him that our players were robbed by the refs time and time again with cheap foul calls.

Add to that his smugness was too much for me.

I think the bigger excuse that he made was the injuries, and to be honest, I think that is a different game with their stud in the game.

I am not trying to defend the guy, but rather just trying to point out that he didn't really say anything that was wrong. Had AJ said the same thing about our team we all would have agreed.

I disagree. The guy is a smug excuse maker. Not a fan at all.

AJ wouldn't have done this in a post-game interview...he's too polished to act like this.

This guy needs to check his emotion at the door on the way to the interview. Being emotional in this kind of way is for fans, not the head-coach, especially AFTER the game in the post-game interview.
I've noticed, we've got a few of these guys in the conference, men's and women's. One reason they'll probably never move up and out of our conference.
IMO, when you try and blame and make excuses and not give credit to the other team, all it does is appease your fans, but pisses your boss off...and makes you look like a whiney biaatch to the rest of the coaching community. Not to mention your players come off believing that their lack of making plays didn't somehow contribute to the loss.

As a fan, I would love to get another shot at this guy and Dinkbinner all in one weekend!! I guarantee AJ's thinks the same way...the differnce is, he would never say it in public.

            Go Jacks!!
            SDSU...Passionate, Relentless, Champions.

Why you guys are getting worked up over some comments made by IPFW's coach in a post-game interview I'll never know. Who cares? It's not like he said anything negative about the Jacks. He didn't give them enough credit? Oh no...

I think he sounded like someone who couldn't hide his dissappointment. We shouldn't look too lightly in the fact that he'll use this game to motivate his team to play more inspired in SF.I don't under estimate this guy,he's pretty crafty.

For all the "terrible" things he said, the one point that he made holds true to our current team. The swagger that they had has somewhat gone with the struggles this year and next. In the past, as he said, the Jacks would have walked onto that floor knowing that they were going to win my double digits.

It has been stated before, but the league is catching up with the Jacks. I, for one, am more than happy to see that happen. The better the conference, the better we look when we win it.

For a guy who got lucky to beat us in Frost, his ego sure needs some team to ground it to where it should be. If I recall, he never really had a good team, but this year they are over acheiving and he thinks SDSU is chopped liver. Maybe another loss to us in the tourny will put him back in his place.

What would be truly ironic is if IPFW manages to loss BOTH road games this weekend, and SDSU become the #2 seed with win over Bison.

Definitely want to make the NCAA tourney, but would be great to get to a post-season even if miss the NCAAs.

Well, it's not that I dislike IPFW. I actually rather like the institution, the little I've in-person seen of it, and consider them (in some distant respect) a partner in SDSU's transition--a bit similar but to a much lesser extent than our good and dear friends up north at NDSU. All three of us came into the Summit League at the same time, so we're kind of fraternal triplets, in a way.

It's just that I hate 'em. You know. In an Internet discussion-board sense.
