Source and specifics on Davis? (And, BTW, you can't come "back" to something you have not been to in the first place).
You can't throw a cryptic claim out there to support an argument and expect people to accept your reasoning. And by saying "stink again," you have tacitly conceded Jacks have made improvements. You undermine your own arguments.

Oh I keep forgetting, you guys are happy with 8-10 wins a year. 10 years from now you'll probably still be happy with 8-10 wins. The other conference coaches must be laughing at our once proud program. Sure they say the PC thing publically but in private I am sure they want Nagy to be here as long as possible. Boots as well. USD will soon be kicking our tail and telling us how great a job Nagy is doing.

I ask once again, without making excuses for close losses, our record will be 10 and 18-20. HOW IS THAT IMPROVEMENT

Just thought I'd throw this out there: If someone told me a year ago, that I would be defending the SDSU men's basketball team and Scott Nagy I would have laughed in their face. A lot.

It will probaby get worse for you before it gets better. Maybe some day we will see you outside of your house building a bon fire with all your red and white memorabilia, sporting yellow and blue body paint.

                    How is that improvement...

06-07- 6 wins (Not in a conference yet)
                    07-08- 8 wins (3 conference wins)
                    08-09- 12 wins (7 conference wins)

Last I checked, 6<8<12, so that would be verifiable proof that the team is improving. Likewise, 3<7. So we are getting better in conference too. I ask you, how is that NOT improvement?

rabbit_boy, I asked earlier and got no response, but would you like to make a wager as to whether or not SDSU men's basketball will get its first road conference win with Coach Nagy at the helm?

If they win their first conf. game with coach Nagy, you quit posting on this board.

If they win their first conf. game without coach Nagy, I'll give you $20.

I think I have sat in front of rabbit_boy at multiple football and basketball games over the last 5 years. The guy behind me is always EXTREMELY vocal about our decencies during periods of lackluster performance, and strangely silent (even sulking) during periods of domination. Is that you rabbit_boy?

RB, You're a little too negative for my tastes, but I'm not as optimistic as others about next year either. This team and group of Juniors and Sophomores, haven't shown the ability to play a forty minute game with all out hustle and the desire to win. I'm not sure they are going to improve a great deal next year. This group just seems to be missing something...intensity, maybe? I'm not sure.

We shall see. For now, let's let this season play out. I hope this team suprises me.

Why do you say that? Is it because we're not buying your sack of blue sky and bull------stuff as an alternative?

And let's be honest, this isn't about Nagy, it's about you. You've been nurturing these opinions about Nagy for years, telling them to either disinterested acquaintances or friends that will humor you. Now, when you find that you've got no takers for your particular bill of goods on this board, you resort to berating the very same people that you earlier tried to convince.

And yet you can't quite make yourself walk away.

OK, there are basically two sides in this, and actually pretty close to the same number of repeated posters on both sides.

Side A: Since the transition we have basically had 20+ loss seasons, no stability, a repeatedly inability to win close games at the end that has not changed throughout this season, and are 0-17 on the road in conference. This is situation that indicates the program is and has been headed in the wrong direction. A change needs to be made.

Side B: Transition in men's BB is the hardest sport to find success in. Much of the inconsistency has nothing to do with the coach of the team and he should not take the blame. We have a very young team that has improved its record the last two years and next year should be very good. We have one of the best recruiting classes on paper coming in. The program has turned the corner and a change now would only set things back.

You know what? Both sides are actually positions that I could envision being articulated at a press conference by the President or Athletic Director when asked why Coach Nagy is or is not still the coach at SDSU. Most people would listen to that and say, "Not sure if I agree, but I understand why the decision was made."

Since I don't think anybody on this board is President Chicoine or the new AD, I think we should all take the immortal advice of one of the best basketball coaches in the country that just got his 800th win. In other words, "Just shut up."

You can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can never teach a stupid dog anything.

Does any one else think it was strange seeing the posted attendance of last nights game at over 5000? I realize the Mabee Center holds close to 11,000 but it seemed very empty last night?

                              Thoughts?

I'm sure it was generous, but it sounded like the side that the camera was on (that we couldn't see very well) was very full. They showed a couple of partial shots of it and it looked pretty filled from what I can see.
