Not arguing with your opinion, Rabbit Boy, it's your interpretation of indisputable fact that falls short. How in the world can anyone - including you - say there has been a "lack of progress" this year? It is simply not true based on wins in conference, and on total wins. Flip three excruciatingly close games that ended bizarrely against the Jacks - half-court shots in two of them - and Saturday night SDSU would be playing for over the .500 mark that you say would mark success next year.

Don't you know it was Nagy's fault they made those half court shots tho? He should have been out there guarding the guy or something

Agreed. I've opined that this team will be dangerous come tournament time, and I believe that to be truer today than when I first opined. A win Saturday night will be huge for the psyche and after that, I would not be wanting to play this team in Soo Falls..

Or fouling so they can't shoot a 3 to tie the game.

Remember that the Summit League is down this year, four teams with winning records? The bottom 6 teams are a combined 57-116? Under 33%.

Nagy also directed the Jacks to the NCAA Regional Tournament from 1996-1998 and from 2000-2004 and led the Jacks to the Elite Eight tournament in 1997. How many coaches in the NCAA have a resume like that?

You've nailed it. He was one of the best NCAA II coaches. Now even the faithful believe!

This is Div I basketball. Our record is terrible!! The in-state recruits will help down the road but we need help NOW!! I have been told by one our players that Davis is NOT coming back. After next year we lose our junior class. Guess what, then we will stink again if Nagy is still the coach.

                              We cover this last week.

Want to know how the last three D-II Men's Basketball National Champions that moved up to D-I are doing?

Kennesaw State - 2004 D-II National Champion is 7-17 with a RPI of 337. They are 1-11 on the road. '04 was our last year in D-II and the NCC.

Cal State Bakersfield - They won 3 D-II National Championships in the '90s. They are 6-18 with a RPI of 321. They are 1-13 on the road.

UC Davis - They won the '98 D-II National crown and have been D-I the longest. This season they are 11-14 with a RPI of 255 and a road record of 4-7.

Moving from D-II to D-I is a huge jump in Men's Basketball.

The Three Amigos must be stopped. I think Rabbit boy is the one on the right.

Well jeeze, why don't we just pick up some free agents? There's gotta be someone available on waivers right? Do you think NDSU would trade Woody for two future picks + cash?

This isn't fantasy football, bro. You can't just get help "now." What's wrong with looking down the road 3-4 years?

(Note: I think they will be good next year, however.)
