I don't know.... You'd have to be at the games, watching the body language of this team when it has leads......

They look scared--most of the time. When they played IUPUI and beat them at home, they looked scared when they had the lead the first time, and looked confident with it the second time.

When they played Oakland and beat them, they were riding the excitement of the fans.....

But what I've seen from this team is that it does not look comfortable with leads, and that is decidedly NOT on Nagy. Nagy is not telling these kids they can't win.

This is something these players can be =told= it's something they have to learn. They have to learn that they are good enough to lead ORU, NDSU, etc.

Well said. Couldn't agree more. Maybe someone needs to tell them this isn't the Big East or ACC - this is the Summit League and they all have the talent to compete and win in this league.

I'm sure it's been said hundreds of times, they just can't get it done on the road

We got outcoached down the stretch again. Guys are trying. We are just lacking in the talent and coaching department.

don't believe either one... we are young, we are learning, we are trying - maybe too darned hard - and it will happen

I almost get the feeling they still they they are an NCC D2 team playing an early season exhibition game tonight. They have nothing to lose so they go out and they are all clicking for 35 minutes then they look up at the clock and find themselves leading with 5 minutes to go. That's when panic sets in and the butterflies set in. Then the wheels fall off...

I don't believe it for a milisecond either. The Jacks were the better team tonight for 35 minutes. If they would have played like that for another 5 minutes they walk out of there with a win.

Oh ya, I forgot we are 20-0 and our way to the NCAA Title Game. Oh sorry, I mean we are too you young? Or was it that is was the players fault again because they never listen to the coach? Ow was it because of a full moon? Blah blah blah. Why doesnt the coach put the blame where it belongs, ON HIS SHOULDERS. Sorry people, this record will go on and on as long as he is around. Keep the excuses coming.

One question. Did you watch the game?

Cause they were in the position to make the plays. They had open looks down the stretch that they didn't hit. I'm sorry but you just don't seem like someone that actually knows the game of basketball.

you've got to be kidding me?? Was he on the court in the final 5 minutes when no points where scored? Has he not been telling these guys they can win on the road but they just lack some confidence right now? This team has plenty of talent and are improving, stop blaming the coach on this. You might as well get use to him, he's going to be here at least another year

They've been told. It's just that when push comes to shove, they look around and see a bunch of guys who have lost 16 straight conference road games.

As Nagy says, they're letting the past impact the present.

Danged if I know how to fix it either.

And another thing: They were doing this with out a starter. Sargent averages double figures.

                                I can throw a hissy-fit too.....

This stuff all happened last year didn't it? Oh sorry, no it didn't. We lost to ORU by 30, WIU by 23, IUPUI, by 28, NDSU by by 27, IUPUI by 14, ORU by 15, etc. We finished with a better record last year right? O wait, no we didn't. We went 8-21, with 3 conference wins. I mean - clearly things are exactly as they were last year and there is NO progress being made, right? O wait, we have 7 conference wins this year and 12 wins with another game to go yet. And those losses we had, they were by the same margin as last year right? O wait, no, we have been in all but 3 conference games this year, with good chances to win the rest.

Sure we didn't get it done in crunch time so far this year, but this team has proven they can get it done. They just have to learn to finish the game, which takes a totally different skill than trying to prevent getting blown out.
