But we've changed the tide bigtime this season for winning at home, and I think next season will be the change of the tide for road games. For the rest of the season, lets just keep playin tough, go after Cent, and see what we can do when we get to Sioux Falls.

I respect your right to your opinion, but good lord, did Nagy punch your mom in the throat one time or something? You ride him like a rented mule. I just don't get it. It will come together, but your insistence this is all on Nagy is definitely misplaced. As many have pointed out, the guys just fold in the crunch when they have the lead. He can't hold their hand out there or take the shots for them. They all play a part. That's why its a team: coaches, players, trainers, etc. Its all got to click and I think its only going to take a little more tinkering with the gears to make this clock chime in a big way.

You, my friend, are a very delusional person. Why is it the only time you post is when we lose a close game? I didnt see you anywhere giving Nagy credit when they came back to beat Oakland or SUU. You only bash him when we lose. TONIGHT WAS NOT HIS FAULT. You could see that if you watched the game. He drew up a play at the end of the game that got us a WIDE OPEN three by Mikey who played really well tonight but Mikey missed it. Coach Nagy didn't miss the shot, Mikey did. Coach Nagy didnt decide to take it to the hole and pick up a charge on a break instead of pulling up for a jumper, Kai did. The kids are working hard and in my mind the improvement from last year to this year is remarkable. I really believe that we will finally get that elusive road win Saturday and when we do I would like to see what you have to say but I'm sure you will just stay away like you usually do when we win!

This is Rabbitden's reaction to rabbit boy and his boiler plate post game comments.
I can't give you rep points, but you do deserve them. Nothing like being direct and to the point. My feelings too, but also, Coach Nagy mentioned a comment about our guys giving up offensive rebounds and this seems to have happened in nearly all the close games on the road. I think this is the only weak point, the team has right now. If we give the opponent more than one shot at the bucket, its hard to match their outcome offensively. Just listening to Steve Imming, it sounded as though we were doing better on getting defensive stops. Also ORU was not finding the bucket like they have in previous meetings. This was our chance to beat them in their house and break our streak, but it did not happen. We still got Centenary, so we could still get a road win yet.

Nagy is going to get another year. It will be another bad one. He will lose his job, we will have to start over and will be 3-5 years away from success. Might as well start the process now.

I would guess you consider yourself a "realist"??

BTW, rather than coming on this board ONLY after every loss and throwing quick "pot-shots" against Coach Nagy...I want to know...what will you consider a "bad year" next season?

                  Go Jacks!!

I did watch the game last night on ESPN 724 on Directv. The Jacks played well till the end. They had their open looks at the hoop, and quite frankly, I thought the charging call against you was incorrect, but the real problem that exists is exactly what you are all talking about....the streak continues.

Put yourselves in the minds of the players. That streak is like a 500 lb gorilla you just can't shake. But the more you talk about it, the worse it gets. They didn't go to Oral Roberts to lose, and your coach doesn't design plays so they miss shots, it just happens. Once the players quit worrying about the streak, and play and have fun, they'll get that road win.

Iowa State ( a team you beat in December ) has the exact same road woes. Their coach talked about it in much the same terms as I have. You do all you can to win, you play hard, you put yourself in position to win, but for some unknown and totally bewildering reason, it doesn't happen. The flip side is you aqre tougher than heck at home. So, when you go to Sioux Falls, are you on the road, or at home? I say at home, and don't be shocked if this team plays their way to the finals. I am not predicting they'll win it, but son't be shocked if they catch fire in front of a friendly crowd.

To the Jack naysayers, cut your coach some slack. He drew up (2) plays last night that I can think of that worked to perfection, but the shot didn't drop. I don't know Coach Nagy, but my guess is he is far more frustrated than you. And remember, he has a job on the line. Stcik with him.

When will we stop using this for an excuse....I'm guessing it's after we win a road game.

The good news is that we probably won't have to win a road game this year. We really could win 3 games and be off the Dayton.

I don't think it is an excuse as much as it is a fact.

. . . Nagy's team is still growing, with two junior and three sophomore starters.

"They're so young," ORU head coach Scott Sutton said. "They're going to be a lot better next year. When you talk about dark horses (for the conference title), I'd put them in that category. . . .

This was Coach Sutton's take before last night's game.

But of course Sutton knows nothing about college basketball. I mean seriously it's not like he has taken multiple teams to the NCAA tournament.

If we want the real truth we have to talk to Rabbit_boy and Minnesotarabbit because they are the real experts here.

After blowing 2 or 3 games it might be a fact, but it's now getting old.

That said, we have a huge huge advantage playing in the Arena, and there is a chance.
