Here is Tulsa Worlds article on the game. The opportunity for an upset was there but we just did not seize it. Its ironic that many of the Summit League coaches think more of Scott Nagy, then do some of our fans. Now why would that be?

Why's that, because they're beating us and we can't finish games.......yet?

Dahhh and where did my loyality go? Sure a win would have been better than a loss, but can we move on? I dont think you are winning any support on this board. Coaches know what each other has to go through to prepare for any given game and they see what the other guy can do with what he has in terms of talent. Obviously Scott Sutton knows when a fellow coach is doing the best he can, that something you fail to recognize.

Good lord. I used to think that these thread's were funny, the first two times anyways. Now it's the same 2 or 3 people saying the same things after every game. We get it. I cheer for USD and even I think it's ridiculous!

It's like we're stuck in a freaking time paradox where neither our wisdom or Rabbit_boy's virginity will ever escape.

          (Someone please get that reference).

I may not be winning any support, but it's reality......so far. That being said, the season is not over, and I really believe there's a shot since it's going to be pretty much our home court.

Anybody else think this was weird?

And, they are closing in on a first-round bye in the Summit League Tournament at Sioux Falls, S.D. if a few things fall their way.
What the heck does that mean? 8 teams = no byes.

OK here is my optimistic take on these close games...

When the guys finally figure out that YES, they can win on the road in the conference... watch out. It has been said here several times but right now they don't believe they can win, so they don't.

I think when they finally get over that mental block, because honestly, that is what it is right now, when they get over that block they are going to be a team to be reckoned with.

If they can find a way to win Saturday, I believe it will kick start them, give them that extra burst of confidence if not for the tournament this year, then for heading into next year.

                  Had to add...
Go look at the schedule they lost 13 games by an average of 5.8 points (I took any game that they lost by 10 or less points figuring that those were games we could/should have won for a total of 75 points we lost by in 13 games) that is THREE baskets per game to change a loss into a win — Be it a defensive stop or a made basket. That is such a small amount to make up and what a different season we would be talking about if they had picked up even half of these games. Just having the confidence to believe they can win will make up that difference...

                  Good Luck Jacks

Okay, if you are offended by any of the following words:

                    constipation
                    dump

Or you consider humor to be entirely inappropriate to the subject of men's basketball, please, skip this:

Have you ever been constipated? Exactly. Although it might feel like you're never going to take a dump again, you know eventually................

And please, don't blame only me for this little homily. It's the relentless negativity from some that got me thinking about crap.

I think the writer meant that they get Sunday off if they win on Saturday in SF.

Even if they lose they get Sunday off. The 2 seed gets Sunday off as well.

                          1) They've locked up the day off.

                          2) It's a 'day off', not a 'bye'.

Regardless of how the writer intended it, it's an odd thing to say, and it makes me wonder when the Summit/Midcon last had a bye or a play-in game, as I think the writer just dated himself in an effort to get the story in before deadline...

A successful season for me next year has to be 500. If we cant get that with the "talent" he has then there has to be no debate over his return or not.

BTW, I am a big boy and can take the criticism. Riddle me this ye with your head in the sand, how many other programs in the NCAA would put up with our record and lack of progress?

To those who continue to use the same excuses over and over again (and over and ...), when will you have decided that this ship is sunk?

Step back and look at the issues this team has had since making the move to Division I. They were basically putting a brand new team on the court every year until last year when it was full of sophomores. Progress is being made, grow up and quit calling for the coach's head every single time they lose a close one.
