Re: Jackrabbits add point guard
Wanting to see SDSU and NDSU fail at the DI level is not anything I have any interest in seeing happen nor has that comment ever been made. Unfortunately to make that statement applicable to me is, in my opinion, out of line and it surprises me it was made by someone who seems to have a certain level of objectivity.
I made the comment about the new recruit based on a previous post that simply stated Eastern Illinois, a relatively poor DI and Lewis, an average DII over the past few years, were THE two schools that SDSU beat in the recruiting wars for the new recruit and they were the only two schools named in that particular post.
I am a college basketball fan in this region who has simply made some observations and voiced them. If you want to try to embarrass me in some way over a two line response to a previous post, then I guess that is your perogative and since you are the moderator, have at it.
As I sit back and evaluate the results overall of the two programs and their move to the DI level, in my humble opinion, NDSU is on a faster track and moving in a more positive and CONSISTENT direction. By saying I am not a "fan" of either program, I simply am stating I have no vested interest in either program. It also means I evaluate the programs based on more things than two head to head meetings a year.
I am as objective as it gets in that I am not blinded by loyalty to either program and therefore will not try to take new news and blow it out of proportion simply because some positive news for a particular program is needed at this point. If you look back at the original post I responded to, you will hopefully see the sole perspective I was responding to.
I am sure I will get criticized again, but I guess that is your choice. If my opinions offend you then go ahead and ban me. Other posts on this board blow my post out of the water with respect to volatility. Because I do not post with a positive spin towards SDSU all the time does not mean the opinions I express don't have some validity!
