coming from a college that has a TE in the Pro's or he atleast was in the pro's (not sure if he still is) and talking to people that knew him they said that he was good but through workouts he made himself a nfl type player. Wags has the body and the smarts so I think if he wants to join the NFL I think he can.

Steve Heiden, drafted in 3rd round, 1999 by San Diego. Traded to Browns in 2002 and backs up (I think anyway) Kellen Winslow. Heiden was really good in college, but I think if Wags gets healthy he could play at that same level. So long as he comes around the rest of the season, trains hard in the offseason and impresses some scouts this spring.

      Anyway, bad thread drift.

I don't usually have any problems with things you say. If you have a source or feel you want to share some speculation, that's fine. Look at my posts. I've never called you out before. However, you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to Steve Heiden. Steve was a stud on the field and was rated the #2 TE in the nation (regardless of division) coming INTO his senior year at SDSU (some publications had him at #3, but most had him #2). The #1 rated TE was Jim Kleinsauser out of UND. Wags is a good player, but is not at Steve's level right now. Steve led the team in receiving and was the main receiving threat on the team his senior year. He also did not redshirt as he played significant time as a true-freshman. And by the way, he just signed a new deal with the Browns entering into his 8th year in the NFL. He is considered to be one of the best blocking TE's in the game. Watch anytime the Browns have a running down and they'll be running to his side. Watch the highlights of LT's first couple seasons in San Diego and you'll see the same thing. I don't know who you talked to who "knew him", but they vastly underreported his abilities as football player. This coming from someone who shared team captain duties with him and butted heads and covered his routes everyday from our freshman year to our senior year in college and still talks to him on a regular basis.

I just talked with one of Alcorn's old coaches at BHSU today who talked with Zac yesterday. Zac is on the 49'ers practice squad. Zac had no idea he was going to get cut from the Packers. Not even his position coach knew. Sounds like they needed to have room for a couple more RB's on the roster and that came at his expense. He was hoping to sign with Seatle as they run a similar offense to Green Bay but it didn't happen. He's having a tough time grasping the 49'ers terminology but he's not giving up.

Ya he was out here and was going to be a grad-assistant or something in that area then I heard that the 49ers had signed him but I didn't know if it was for sure.

dude i'm not the one that brought on NFL with Wags I am the one that asked if Wags was going to join the basketball team (a good question if you ask me).... Don't go pick on me because I went along with it though I am use to being harped on for everything...

As far as the 07 roster I think the only question that can be asked is who will red-shirt... And according to Terry that won't be decided until days before the regular season.

Can a person lose reputation points for unnecessary drama?

Maybe Super bunny you should leave the moderating up to the moderators and quit giving people negative rep points for no reason what so ever. I brought this thread back on track and then you had to steer it off into no where land again and then knock my rep points....

Now lets get back on track I would expect that Nagy would redshirt Cassady from what I know is that he is relatively small and would benefit the most from a red-shirt. I would expect Moss and Sargent to play possibly start and I have no real idea on Palarca from what I understand is he had the 7th most ppg in the LA metro area. Terry mentioned redshirting Mackenzie Casey I don't know how much I like that move some of me likes it some of me thinks that Mackenzie has been great to the organization but if SDSU wants to move on maybe letting him play this year and then be done would be best.

I asked my neighbor about Payton. He said he's a darn good player that can take over a game when he wanted to. He said Payton is an even better kid that when he puts his mind to something, he accomplishes it. Sounds like he's excatly what we need, a good kid.

So what's the final '07 roster look like for a breakdown (besides the obvious lack of enough "inner city" players)? Just going over the players in my head, I'd have to say this may be more talented than any other SDSU team, to date.* Am I wrong?

*Talented doesn't necessarily mean "best" team, but you'd be hard pressed to find a higher talent level than this team. Again, am I wrong in my assessement? Let us discuss openly everyone's opinion.

What does the number of inner city players on a team have to do with anything?

Not trying to be a jerk, just wanted a little clarification.
