I did not say he was a bad apple. I said that based on history, Stu's question was valid.

I have rooted for Cody for a long time and hope he has a great college experience at SDSU, on and off the court!

Bummer he didn't get his bachelor's at Florida. He'd be immediately eligible as a grad student, AFAIK.

I have no problem with the sentiment expressed by many which is to trust in Coach Nagy and the Jackrabbit team -- in other words, even some critics should be allowed to change their opinion. I hope Cody has great success, first as a student (through all the tough times, it appears he's applied himself in class and is very close to having his degree) and then as an athlete. I hope part of that success includes some lopsided victories against your team, Just in the Crowd, the Bison. (Note the "we" this and "we" that from our friend from the north.)
For a "Super" you won't believe this. I never, never, never, ever have ever seen any Bison team play a sporting event except either in Brookings or Sioux Falls. I can say that with God as my witness.

Why don't you go back and read a few of my posts on this thread before throwing around nonsense like "every one of us . . . Now, we".

And, please don't insult our intelligence with the "we," OK?

If you want to mischaracterize other people's opinions, you certainly have a right to do that. Be mindful however that I do not however have any particular obligation to provide you with a platform for doing so.

After some time to digest Cody becoming a Jackrabbit, it is more exciting to me than on first blush.

Has the kid made some bad decisions? You bet. And, paid a heavy price for them. As he should.

He has an opportunity to do something really special at SDSU and his little to do with his on court performance. He has a chance to prove that he has changed. A chance to become a role model and someone that can be looked at as having turned things around after those bad choices. It has a chance to be a great story and I want that for nobody but himself.

I understand completely those that question the decision to bring Cody into the mix. No doubt the staff won't put up with any missteps. He has to keep his nose clean.

Wouldn't we all like a second chance if we fall down?

Sure, I hope he goes out and tears up the Summit League and becomes a great story for his on the court performance too (don't we all?) but that isn't what I'm looking for.

Best of luck to Mr. Larson.

Larson does seem to say all the right things (for what that is worth). He has a chance to turn this into quite a success story and I have a feeling it is going to work out well for SDSU.

For the "off-season" SDSU athletics have sure been staying in the news. Wolters, Larson, baseball, Somsen, top-5 football ranking etc. have provided a lot of stories for the local TV and press. Very nice.

Saying the right things means the young man knows the right things and the wrong things. That is he apparently knows the behaviors that lead to success and those that do not. So it seems this is a matter of executing the correct behaviors and eliminating the incorrect. No reason not to give him an opportunity to do just that.

Cody will be surrounded by a good coaching staff and a fine bunch of young men. He has a lot on his side and has a good shot at success.

Terry Vandrovec says (Twitter -- in response to a question about 'any news on Cody Larson eligibility?') he'll have an update on Cody in his blog on Monday.

Does he have bad news? Makes me wonder or I suppose it could be real good news too.

I think if he knew anything definitive, he wouldn't wait until Monday to release it.

Is the question right now that we know he is going to play, just need an NCAA ruling on the number of years?

I think the question is whether he can play this year and be able to play 2 years, or if he'll have to sit a year, and only be eligible for one year, no?

Think about it with him with the returing players this year could really be something special. Him down low and heemstras passing ability in the high post with dysktra playing both inside and shooting the 3. Just hope that's what happens.

Maybe the NCAA has decided and the coaching staff will be informed on Monday.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
