    The MVC is the best conference in this thing, they have the teams the general public wants to watch. I would guess they will be working whatever back channels exist HARD to come up with matchups that make their conference look good without actually risking anything.

    Wichita State wouldn't want to play SDSU. Andy Katz knows this, and knowing the influence of the MVC, thinks they will get a matchup with more upside and less downside.

      That's what bugs me about his prediction. He obviously knows far more about the politics of Bracketbuster than I can even pretend to. There's nothing we can do about it.

      I agree that a team like Witchita wants nothing to do with SDSU. Beating us won't really help them. Losing to us would be a real blow. Then there is the supposed expectation that they have to make a trip to Brookings in the next couple year. There is not much benefit for WSU.

        It's nice to see that InSt U is OK with getting SDSU. WSU has virtually no possible bracketbuster road opponent that will assist their chances in getting an at-large. There are three, Creighton, Belmont, and WSU who a win over them could be the swing game to getting an at-large.

        Belmont and Creighton should be a slam dunk match-up. If WSU wants the best possible match-up, SDSU is the best choice for testing this season, and is the best return trip. Frost is much nicer than BSA!

            Belmont wouldn't exactly be happy either, they should get Creighton, SDSU and NDSU should get one of Wichita State, Indiana St. or St. Mary's

                  Only a few hours until we find out how ESPN plans to screw us to make sure they can get Creighton vs. St. Mary's and throw everything else out of whack.

                  I sure hope I'm wrong, but this is ESPN.
