An interesting tidbit from the ESPN preview:

New Mexico, which won its first 17 games in 1967-68, also began 12-0 three seasons ago but lost its 13th game at Oral Roberts.

No more a factor than a two-day bus ride was.
+++++++++ Our guys were ready to play today. World beaters thats what they are. Lots of good basketball yet to be played. Lets pray for non-let down in Fargo. That place(BSA) can be tough on visiting teams. Not as bad as the Fabulous Fargo Dome, but tough. Our guys got to be ready. Hope they dont pig out on peanut brittle during Christmas week.

Hell of a win after that ridiculous loss at Belmont. I thnk have finally found out what this teams true potential is.

A couple of interesting facts from TV's blog:

Saturday marked the third time that a Summit squad has knocked off the No. 16-ranked team. In 1986, Cleveland State beat Indiana and Green Bay did the same to Cal eight years later. However, both of those were NCAA tournament games played at neutral sites. The Jacks claimed a true road win - and in front of what’s believed to be the largest crowd ever to see an SDSU victory: 15,278. The previous high: 11,700 at Iowa in 2010.

Another observation in TV's other blog. SDSU received $75,000 in guarentee money, small compared to football guarentees, but it paid the cost of hotels buses, and there no doubut was some left over to FEED THE PIG.

According to Myron Medcalf, the Jacks didn't seem all lovey-dovey after the long bus trip... In fact, they were pretty sick of each other.

Maybe that long bus trip was just what the Jacks' needed. A lot of downtime to reflect/stew on the Belmont loss and rest. And the stress of the trip and the cancelled flights, I think this was the jolt to get that focus back.

Some people talk about how SDSU needs their "swagger". Honestly, I think they play better when they have a chip on their shoulder.

I would not expect a problem but you can send me a message and I will arrange some for you.

Tons of tickets left. I bought 4 right at half court a couple days ago.

Absolutely sucks that this game is played during Christmas break.

All serious, respect for the opponent that beats them on their home court, and also in player disicpline. The line about those two getting alarm clocks was priceless. As for the two players interviewed, I would love to see Greenwood wear a Jack Uniform, but the Williams guy, I am not so sure. Williams had better be a crackerjack in the classroom, if he were to be on my team. But I have no team and maybe its a little unfair to judge a 18-22 year old. His casual attitude seems to show at times, and that is not good.

Great win! Was not able to follow along but caught the highlights.

Agree this team needs some swagger........they may have found it last night!

Merry Christmas! That win was a great gift.
