Two things could guarantee an SDSU victory...scoring more points than the other guys and The Rapture.....

They would basically be up 4 games on us because of the head-to-head and they'd own tie-breaker.

I'll just attempt to veer away from the religious aspect by stating my own personal belief: If you think you've earned entry into heaven, you haven't.

Not a particularly successful attempt, I suppose.

I find it slightly disheartening that, with all the creativity on this board, that we would settle for the religious angle on perceived smack. Certainly we can come up with something better...(in the smack section of course)

Yeah, the whole religion thing is really pretty lame IMHO.

The Golden Eagles are a good basketball team. SDSU will have to play a superior game to beat them.

Haha! That's the spirit!! It'll be a great game, with a game plan like that!

BTW, I wasn't challenging fanhood, I was just surprised I didn't find any talk about the game over here when I checked yesterday.

It will be the clash of the Titans on Thursday - I can't wait!

Who was bashing? Those were two correct assumptions I made. Fine. But you are correct we will have to get on it to beat them. I do not believe that we played a very good game down in Tulsa, not saying ORU wouldn't have still won, just not by 20.

                        Re: ORU

Not going to be easy but we will be in Brookings as close to 7 pm Thursday as possible. Weather is great, no travel concerns and the 2 best teams in the Summit League. Jackrabbits will need to play disciplined defense and crash the boards. WIU had ORU beat with a deliberate game plan and toughness on the glass. I don't think SDSU can slow it down and succeed, let the offense flow but play shutdown D and grab the loose balls. If Morrison is spot on its going to be really tough. The crowd can and should make a difference. Looking forward to it.

                          Re: ORU

Win or lose thursday, I just want to see us be competitive for the full 40-minutes. Give us something that will lead to hope that we can (at least) have a shot at a win if these teams meet again in Sioux Falls.

The last 5-10 minutes got away from us last time, probably due to foul and depth issues. Carlson and Callahan rode the bench a lot in that game with foul trouble. That's not good when you typically only use 2 bench players! We need all weapons to be available to keep up with ORU.

Does anyone know if FCSC will be televising the game?

                            Re: ORU

SDSU should win easily. ORU is coming off a bad performance against UMKC and has probably been reading too many press clippings. The ORU short bench just got shorter with back up PG Manghum "doubtful" this week. I think SDSU will lead pretty much wire to wire, pull away late and win by 12-18 points.

If we come after putting our shorts on one leg at a time, wear our game face, and give 110 percent, then I have 100 percent confidence this game will last at least 40 minutes.

No, have the NDSU/SUU game scheduled - Midco Sports net GOTW. Per Summit League board.
