Has anyone else noticed that Rivals keeps using our old logo? Does anyone have a good contact or a full subscription to Rivals that could send them a high quality updated logo. I admit that I'm too cheap to pony up a few bucks for the subscription.

The fantastic 2009 regular season, a playoff bid today and run in the postseason will certainly give the coaches a lot to talk about on the recruiting trail. Beating regional foes NDSU and UNI didn't hurt either.

SDSU has interest in Andrew Pattock OL from Centennial High in Minnesota. 6'3 310. He is also getting interest from North Dakota and Northern Illinois.

A OT out of Colorado, I wouldn't be surprised if this a SDSU/USD mix-up as we don't usually recruit Colorado but USD heavily recruits Colorado.

He has offers from:
San Diego (I thought that they didn't have scholarships)
Northern Colorado
Eastern Washington

ESPN has him as a 3 star recruit

It could definately be a mix up between the two schools. It has happened before. But I hope it is not. He looks to be a very good player. Good size and should be able to put on some more weight. I read that he had hip surgery last spring and that is why a lot of bigger schools have not offered him. He also plays at a pretty good high school who has 2 players this year that are going to FBS schools. I think OL is a need for this recruiting class.

Isn't one of our old assistant coaches at Colorado State now? Though many coaches won't admit it a lot of coaches will guide players to other universities that they think could work for them..... don't know if that is the case or not.... If I remember right thats how we got a few of the kids out of California...

That's a good point and may be the connection. Daren Wilkinson is the QB coach at Colorado St.

Coach Ballard is one of my favorite coaches of all time! I took a football coaching class with him as the co-instructor (ironically, Darren Wilkinson was the other) and he is by far and way the most intense person I have ever met. It wouldn't surprise me if he wrote in nothing but CAPITAL LETTERS!

Turns out Karl Ballard no longer coaches period according to the CSU Sports Information Department:

Thanks I had a few conversations with Karl at golf outings etc, really a great guy who no doubt will do well outside of coaching.
