Wish List for Action Jackson's Staff

From my perspective, coaches/staff gone based on twitter followers/follows (Skipped HC, OC, DC, last 2 support staff):
Chris Meyers, Mike banks (not as obvious as others), Jalon Bibbs, Pete Menage, Robbie Rouse, Ron Pavlik, Jonathan Shaeffer,

not displaying obvious WSU signs at the moment, Olson, J. Menage, Matt Jacobs, Brayden Gage, Taylor Lucas (following WSU dep dir below), Lane Peterson, Kyle Saddler and Dalton Thomas (both following WSU fb team)

A WSU deputy directory of athletics is following (with follow back marked as fb) Lucas (fb), Freund, Olson, Rouse (fb), Cashmore, Bobbit (fb), Shaeffer (fb), Bibbs (fb), P Menage (fb),J Menage, Meyers (fb), Banks (fb), Pavlik (fb), Rogers, (and also Vigen for what it's worth). This could be him blindly following, but there is obviously overlap with first list

Rouse and WSU's Assistant Special Teams / Assistant Tight Ends Coach from this past season are following one another, so maybe that's a coach Jimmy will retain.

Methodology: multiple and mostly mutual follows on the following -> WSU players/recruits, WSU support/staff (like director on campus recruiting for football), athletic department higher ups, NIL org, former WSU/NFL QB now NIL guy, etc

Are Christian Smith or Kurtiss RIggs following Dan Jackson?

How about Jacks players, other than Wilde and Gronowski, who have either entered the portal and/or not re-committed?

Olson is the most interesting since he was offensive coordinator here yet if what's being reported as true, Freund has been named OC at Wazzu. If Olson is moving on, then he's taking a demotion, at least in title. I suppose it's possible he OL and then some jazz like Associate HC. I'd welcome Olson back for the continuity but I'm not wild about the play calling.

I don't know how ready any of these guys are who are leaving to be coordinators besides Bobbit and Olson but if Jackson wanted to bump any of these guys up to that role, how do they not take it? I assume he'll have his own guys though.

Zenner would need to do something regarding his clients.

I do like the idea of a GM position or whatever it is (that non X's and O's position) that Bill Belichick and some of the other big programs are adding. Not sure what the role entails, but I was wondering if he'd be a fit for that if the SDSU version of it wasn't extremely demanding.

I did a count of the number of New Mexico announced coaches/staff Eck took with him and it was 7. OC & QB (Schleusner), DC/LBs (Jackson), Offensive Line, Head Str and Cond, DLine, Director of Scouting, DB/Pass Game Coordinator

He's a SD guy. Served his time, left and made a name for himself as a premier OL coach. Would he step down a level? Who knows. He also took a couple years off from coaching, so maybe a move home would be good for him. NIU has already lost a couple defensive coaches to Fresno St, so why not add an offensive guy leaving to the list.

I would be disappointed if Jackson brought in former players who aren't coaching. He has enough connections to pull together an experienced staff to hit the ground running. Appreciate the sentiment, but guys that aren't currently coaching and have never coached don't scream "we're not rebuilding we're just reloading" to me. Gotta have guys with recruiting connections these days and we all know Jackson was/is a master recruiter.

Sorry- Zenner, Sumner, Johnson, Soulek, Freeman, et al....would give me zero confidence.

I think Zenner has enough connections to be an outlier in the last group, but could be wrong

I have mixed feelings about dual OC/OL assignments, but if it brings Meadows back, I'd support it

I won't say this is a "ridiculous" list, but certainly unrealistic. I'll give you credit though - a lot of great players on this list! How about removing the OL coach from Augie and maybe add another duty to Ryan McKnight's job description?

I think the one realistic possibility would be Vince Benedetto joining the staff. I'll add Jordan Brown as a possibility on the defensive side as well.

I don't think McKnight can mix university and collective employment. What would you think of Ohnesorge?

Isaiah Jackson, played LB here in the late 2000's. Currently LB and ST coach at UC Davis.

I wonder if he'll go to WSU.
