I'm not saying there is even a 1% chance of it happening, but Smith at DC and Riggs at OC is a better staff than we had last year and no one can convince me otherwise.

Realistic and doable wish list item: Contract provision requiring immediate closing of social media accounts or scrubbing social media accounts where coaches are identify themselves as an SDSU coach. It seems all staff but Jimmy are identifying themselves yet as an SDSU coach. Even better yet would be requiring all coaches giving AD control over social media accounts so they can be frozen and closed the minute the coach resigns.

Eidsness with follows on Chase Mason and Kobe Clayborne. Chase with a follow on Eidsness (past 24 hours). His salary decreased $185k last year (63k max bonus) to $150k ((52k bonus) this past season

Me thinks this is happening. DC/Associate head coach. He takes over when Dan moves on.

In order to prevent JimmyGate 2.0 having that head coach in waiting on staff is critical. Jimmy's staff didn't really have that person. Or at least that person with SDSU's culture engrained.

Nice little teaser.... hopefully the players like it more than the fans. Then in turn the fans will like it because of the players and play on the field.

Here is my list of complete guesses and gut feeling of most likely to least likely, and it is supposedly only 3 familiar names...
    1. Eric Eidsness - OC
    2. Christian Smith - DC
    3. Vince Bendetto - Position coach of some kind on the offensive side
    4. Luke Meadows - OL or OC?
    5. Brian Bergstrom - DC
    6. Jesse Currier - DC
    7. Shannon Moore - ST and other higher level title
    8. Marc Davis - Football Ops
    9. Clint Brown - DC

might be the first realistic non stig tree coach connected to Jackson (DJ is following him) with some SD ties that I've found
Aman Anand - Special Teams Coordinator Grambling State (twitter) following Stig, Schleusner, Josh Davis, Vince Benedetto, JI, Jackson

Student Assistant Coach South Dakota School of Mines and Technology 2012-2014
4 years as grad assistant NAU 2015, Utah State 2016-2017, Memphis 2018
Penn State 2019 -> Baylor (Assistant Special Teams Coordinator) 2020-2022
Texas Southern RB Coach and Special Teams Coordinator 2023
Grambling State Special Teams Coordinator 2024

Brown I think is making too much at Kansas State now. He just completed his first year as the Director of Roster Management. This article (4/23/23) says the lowest of the 10 non HC full time coach salaries was $283,000. Couldn't find any info on his salary, but he's top level support staff, so I imagine he's set.

Role description: Brown oversees the football recruiting staff as he manages the composition of the football roster and, in consultation with head coach Chris Klieman and the assistant coaches, determines the needs for future teams, as well as develop a strategy to retain current student-athletes and attain prospective student-athletes.

I probably don't remember correctly but seemed like that.

With our depth at RB I wish we would run some Y formations. Maybe it's out of favor now but when we use too it seemed like it worked well. Maybe when Konig and the minnett were RBs? Anyone else recall that at all?
Eidsness was OC then. His adaptability is subject to debate, because others have noted that as a strength of his
