While some of y'all are in TX, maybe you could remind Sam Herder that the Tarleton State program making continued "impressive investment" began doing so by backing out of game versus Jacks (forcing Jacks to play Lindenwood last year).

I have 4 center-of-the-endzone seats I’m selling on AXS. Right on the aisle.
As of an update this AM they were the lowest price in that section. Maybe we can figure out how to “transfer” them via the app to save someone $100+ in fees.

That said, with SDSU, NDSU, and Montana State appearing to be powers for awhile to come, a smaller regional type city could benefit from the tourism of at least 20-40,000+ fans each January.
What places would you be interested in seeing place a bid? Minneapolis and US Bank Stadium would be awesome for this matchup. However the city may not draw in many tourists because a lot of fans are already in the area. If you were to get a match up of say Incarnate Word vs. Holy Cross, the stadium would be embarassingly empty and it would be a failed bid.
Weather in early January could factor in... what is stopping Fargo/NDSU, Grand Forks/UND, or Cedar Falls/UNI from placing a bid? All have the indoor facility that would sell out, assuming a Dakota or Montana team makes it nearly every year.
If there is some city that takes the approach of, "nearly each year either NDSU or SDSU will be in this game, and their fans travel. We could use the tourism this time of the year and we are conveniently located with either I-29/35/94/90/80 or have an airport terminal with direct flights from Sioux Falls, Fargo, or MSP." Situated either in this region, or in a region that what be a good warm mid-winter break for us.
For example, I chose the Alamodome in San Antonio because I like to go to San Antonio in the winter. They seat up to 64,000 for football, but typically have crowds of only 22,500 to 27,500 for UTSA Roadrunner football. They have no NFL game or playoff conflicts. They are experienced with dealing with the NCAA.
I am not trying to convince you this is the best choice. The better thing would be that every appropriate stadium in the country will consider entering the bid process in the hope that one bigger stadium will take it seriously enough to get the title game to a place where every Jackrabbits fan that wants a ticket can get one.Finding is never about seeking. It is about opening yourself to what is already there. - Henry Meloux

Will it do any good. I don't know, but we can try to plant some seeds. Go to the stadium website and use the contact us button.

I was talking to a buddy of mine that is a Montana State fan. He panic bought tickets after the semis last year and paid $1200. They were crappy seats. He said there were empty seats all over the place last year. He bought SRO tickets this year as he said the SRO areas are pretty good.
I'm probably going to buy one of his SRO tickets. I'm going from Denver with a buddy that got a ticket with his brother. Hopefully they have an empty seat near them. If not, I'll find one by some other Jacks fans.
I think my buddy has two SRO tickets. If someone is interested, I can pick them both up. He will sell them to me for what he paid which I think is around $100.

They do host a local high school all-star game and the national All American game that weekend both at the Alamodome. If they bid on the FCS Championship game, they are giving up the All American game. I would guess the FCS Championship would bring more money, but I'm not sure what else is involved in the All American game.

The problem that might arise for another venue is sponsorship I notice that on The Summit League site that there are a number of sponsors for the SLT making pledges through 2025. Frisco may have sponsors who are established to make the organizers a step ahead of the pack who are considering bids. The first idea may need a climate friendly venue that may or may not be a dome, but sub-zero cities might not be ready to bring Super Bowl numbers for the more fickle fans who do not enjoy frigid. I would be surprised if a northern venue makes a serious bid. Previously Chattanooga hosted the 1-AA/FCS game for 12-13 years before relocating to Frisco. They had a capacity of 20,000+. Prior to that run, Marshall U in W Virginia hosted during 1992-96 with a capacity of 28,000-30,000. If capacity has been a problem, it may have been identified in the past 25 years and addressed in the bidding process. Also, the FCS Championship group appears to be headquartered in Frisco. It may be compared to the SLT which creates many complaints from some of the conference members as they lobby to change the venue. It would be a steep hill for a new venue to create a bid.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. I do remember one year they just extended the contract without bids. I'm not sure if they've had many competitive bids elsewhere. If they had a good bid for a northern city, they probably would consider it. D2 has been in Kansas City (not northern but still not a warm December destination). D3 is in a rotation that includes Canton, Ohio. They obviously have the HOF connection, but it's still likely to be in the 20s or 30s in December.

This LOC is responsible for local logistics (i.e. hotel, some ticket sales, events around the game). Sponsorships are probably somewhat joint effort. NCAA handles team and official party travel, awards, broadcast rights, and the game itself.
