Probably not. I think they averaged over 16,000 this year. Their playoff game was under 10,000 but then just like everyone else, Thanksgiving weekend keeps the crowd down. They had one crowd of over 20,000. So i think if we win , we go south.

Might as well book your tee times at SD golf courses, cause there's obviously a heatwave coming if that scenario plays out.

Jacksonville/Samford was the "other" not Iron Bowl rivalry game on the same day as Alabama/Auburn playing their classic, for the opportunity at #1 and the SEC West possession. If Jax St. got 10K to that game they did REALLY good.

You DO have to admit to having
some concern that the second-place, one-loss team in your conference was dominated by the second-place, three-loss MVC team though, right?

I doubt it. Why would they worry about a team who can't throw the ball? It shall be an easy win for them.

The Jackrabbits need to win to EARN that respect, and I'm hoping that they do so.

I'm REALLY starting to look forward to this game...and it's only Thursday afternoon!

The Big Sky was fortunate to have 4 teams qualify for the tournament. Southern Utah and NAU were eliminated last week. Now there are 2 MVFC teams and 2 Big Sky remaining due to first round byes for EWU and Montana. It would be very interesting to see the remaining Big Sky wind up the season this week. A few defensive stops against EWU would tip the game for the Jacks to flex the running game. It seems that if the EWU team is not making 30 second drives, that may create a bit of a struggle for them. The high scoring offense in Cheney has created a large dose of confidence.

Northern Arizona pretty much had a cake walk to second place this year. Their only real challenge was Cal Poly, whom we dominated until Vernon Adams stepped out of the game. Next, NAU was dominated by MSU, which we scored against on EVERY offensive drive.

I'll say it now, I think that from top to bottom, MVC is a better conference than the Big Sky. Montana is being carried on name alone, and will be PUMMELED by NDSU. The only reason they should make it past Coastal Carolina is due to their weather advantage.

Eastern Washington is the only potent team from the Big Sky. We are much better than NAU was, which is what gives us confidence.

To people saying it won't be windy in Cheney this weekend. From the NWS.

"Saturday Sunny, with a high near 12. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph."

I'd say that wind might affect the game.

The wind is forecasted for the morning. It will only be down to 8 mph and slowing by game time.

You can tell that we need to get to this game quickly when we are talking about 10-15 MPH winds vs 8MPH winds by gametime. I love that we are all analyzing this game so much. Weather will be a factor when it is this cold. the ball will be rock hard, and difficult to hang onto weather running or catching. If EWU can throw all over the Jacks they will likely win, if the Jacks can make a few stops and dominate TOP they have a great chance of winning. Should be a fun game.

IMO, if we want respect for next year (ie, a top ten preseason ranking) we need to win this game. To me this is a statement game. Gonna tell us if we are a contender or pretender.

Hoping I can get the game on the dish.

8-12 degree weather will absolutely affect things, whether there is wind or not. Walk outside tomorrow afternoon here in SD and imagine throwing or catching a football. We'll need to execute very well, but might not need to put up 30 points to win.

East Wash is going to put 8 or 9 in the box and try and force Sumner and receivers to beat them!
