Re: Youngstown
Rumor on the YSU board is that Hess might have some ligament damage in that ankle. He will play, though. This could be his last game.
Forecast for Saturday in Youngstown, Ohio according to the NWS: Snow showers likely after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 35. West wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Windy and Rainy/Snowy. Perfect weather for the Jacks. Not so perfect for our struggling FG unit.Comment

Is this one going to be on TV at all? I'll be out of town and not sure what cable provider is available. One hand points to campus...the other to the liquor store.Comment

The fear was he had ligament damage going into the NDSU, hence he played sparingly. Knowing this could be his last game, there is no doubt he will play.Rumor on the YSU board is that Hess might have some ligament damage in that ankle. He will play, though. This could be his last game.

Re: Youngstown
Butler getting the Pioneer auto bid probably helps YSU even it they lose on Saturday. Easy bus ride for a YSU/Butler matchup....340 miles.

Re: Youngstown
Are you actually saying he played sparingly against NDSU because of the ligament damage and not wanting to hurt it worse? I think that's what Wolford said. I don't buy that BS for a second."All I know is what I read on the message boards."
"Oh, well, there's your problem, then."Comment

Re: Youngstown
I heard in the tailgate lot prior to the game by our strength coaches brother, former YSU QB may I add, that Hess was doubtful due to an ankle injury he suffered vs. UNI. Wolford and staff kept it quiet all week. He did not practice in those final days before the game.
If you YSU, with a chance to make the playoffs, you don't want to lose your QB before heading into a potential playoff run...Comment

Why? All that will matter is that the Jacks won the game and made the playoffs when it is all said and done"This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time." -Tyler DurdenComment

Re: Youngstown
You mean like Woody Hayes? I thought they only made one of him, but it is Ohio after all. Seriously, I had some respect for Coach Wolford, but the pressure seems to be getting to him. I was surprised when he showed up in suit and tie for the press conference. I wonder how he was able to do that, shower, shave and put on the street clothes so quickly. It was like he was going to his next job interview.
Hey Now! One of those there Jackrabbits is a sturdy son of Ohio!
And Woody is sancrosect... We do not talk about Woody LOLOLOLOL

Re: Youngstown
Sorry Ms. Feisty, I lived at Vandalia, north of Dayton 1973-76, and even drove up to a Youngstown game against SDSU in 1973. Ohio is a huge state, and lots of diversity. Woody well Woody does what Woody did want towards the end of his career, including the tackling of the opposing team's running back. I hope Wolford does not to that today as our NO 22 takes it to the house.
Wolford has appeared to be classy in prior years press conference and very complimentary of Coach Stig and his program, but I think he is starting to feel some heat in Youngstown so some defensive back wearing yellow taking it to the house will be troublesome for him to deal with.

Yes Woody was ...Woody...There is no other way to descibe him. Demons aside, OSU and,Ohio in general would not be as notable (or infamous if you will) without him.Sorry Ms. Feisty, I lived at Vandalia, north of Dayton 1973-76, and even drove up to a Youngstown game against SDSU in 1973. JeRyan was born down the road in Sandusky. We did not move to Az until he was 10.
If Wolford gave a certain DB the Woody treatment, I would pray for his safety, JeRyan's father and grandfather are in the stands today. LOL
