Making one of my rare trips from St Louis. This reminded me of my college days in the sixties. Specifically Ralph Ginn's teams when the wheels came off over several years. Dispirited with bad play calling. Sad, but the trip to Springfield was nice.
Talk about role reversals for the two teams I cheer for - Jacks go to Missouri State and lay down a turd , and the Gophers go into Evanston and beat Northwestern. My head may be spinning for days.
Get it together? Playoffs? I've heard that weekly since the 4th quarter meltdown at UND! At this point this team "is what it is". They are a bottom-half MVC squad that has no business being mentioned in the same breath as the word "playoffs". To do so is an embarrassment to playoffs everywhere! This team will be very lucky to get two more wins.

Apparently you missed the 1961 1962 and 1963 seasons. Few wheels fell off during those three years, but after that yah things were not pretty just as they were not today. MSU has got better team then their 2-6 record. They have lost some close ones even to SDSU. So hats off to Terry Allen and the Bears. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Springfield. Nice to get some fresh air I suppose if nothing else. Looks like they had a great parade, no fire engines and stuff like that.
It was a bad showing by a pretty bad team. Bottom line. Jacks this season: Performance < Talent. And by that I mean <<<<<<. I'm looking at you, coaches.
Grumbling along and embracing my role. If I didn't care, I wouldn't care. Go Jacks!
I had not noticed Melvin Taravas No 8 until today. Apparently a Juco from Lynn Mass. He seems to have the speed to keep up with MSU, but he made two helmet infractions, one he was called for the other he was not called although the homers doing the game thought he should have been called. If he can watch the helmet stuff, he might be what the doctor ordered.

The homers were right. He should have been ejected for targeting on the second one.
For a guy that doesn't know the proper way to tackle he sure seems high on himself.
So, USD goes into UNI, trails 28-7, and comes all the way back and wins 38-31 in 2OT. UNI is now 4-3, (0-3) MVC. Two desperate teams in Brookings next weekend.
