At the risk of getting the boot, and if I knew how to switch the JACKRABBIT MANIFESTO to smack, trust me I would, I would like to bring up a very important issue. Actually, hugely important.

I have been an active participant on here for I believe over 2 years, and have made alot of friends, probably an enemy or two, and had good banter back and forth. But the one thing I have always heard repeatedly, and I mean over and over is the fact that the USD game is "just another game." But in Vermillion, "if you only win one game and it's against SDSU, then the Coyotes had a great season. Repeatedly been told we had to much emphasis on "THEE GAME".

Now, I would like to refer to you #6 of the JACKRABBIT MANIFESTO. "Even if we are 0-10 and haven't scored a point in 3 months, all will be forgiven if you beat the Coyotes"? What the hell?

It sounds like to me the Manifestois your guiding light document, so your emphasis on the USD game has truly come to light, and we now discover this game means more to your base than it does our base. Very interesting. Carry on.

JackJD, rebuttal? Sturgis? Slosho? NoVaJack? Lets talk this one out.

BTW........looks like a solid recruiting class to SDSU. Congrats

Man, if you take everything on this board literally you're going to be in a perpetually bewildered state. For the record, I think the rivalry absolutely has to be resumed for the very reasons behind this exchange, and have been conistently arguing for it on this board. Point of Manifesto 6 was to impress on this newcomer the importance of this rivalry.

Anymore signees? Or are we finished for the year. I would hope we could find some FBC transfers like an Indiana State did at QB. Nothing against TOB, but a find like ISU Blue made could really change our team.

With S Koehlmoos and TE Lee gone from the program we are going to be even thinner at SS and TE next season. Hopefully Sheehan is awarded an extra year as that will help. Otherwise we might see some true freshman having to help out.

Feeling a bit humor-deficient this morning?

I think NoVaJack was trying to be funny.

(He was invoking a common college athletics meme, wherein one fan base says to a coach "I don't care if you don't win a game, as long as you beat X." Now X in our case could have been NDSU except for the fact that he was covering them and the Marker game in the next point.)

(My other thought is that if you have to explain the joke, it really wasn't that funny. Sorry, NoVaJack.)

I have to apologize as well. My post was meant to be funny as well. I laughed the whole time I typed it. Apparently stand up comedy and I don't get along.

Please accept my humblest apologies and know it was written in humor as 95% of my posts are.....trying to get a laugh or snicker. If I can get Nidaros to snicker once, just once...then I'll die a happy man.

BTW......my last line complimented your football recruiting class but I got no love for that. But that's ok, I can handle it. And the guys at the bottom I called out, I percieve as all good guys that like to have fun and engage in banter.

On a side note, does he know what he wants to take up academically?

Sociology/criminal justice, but that is subject to change.

Yeah he does have lofty goals, but every last one hes made so far has come to pass, hes not afraid to work at it, but he knows that a top notch education is the priority

I wouldn't say its much of a clean slate. I'm still a student and have a great distain for the U. I feel a lot of students have these same feelings. I know of many guys that have gone down to USD for D Days thinking they are gonna have a great time, and they come back and had the worst time being they were treated very poorly and had very difficult times getting into partys and bars because they had SDSU clothing on. Its very much the "Cold War" right now of the rivalry. Unfortunately I see it heading back south again once we get the games revved back up. Just my thoughts.

I think things will get crazy real fast and we'll have to bust out some Ron Burgandy about how quickly that escalated.
