    Wrong forum for that question.

Brady's lawn. Marsha is better than the Coyote cheerleaders.

Good point, G-H. And if Alice brought her butcher to the game, and all the kids brought their friends, the crowd at the Brady's lawn would be pretty good, too.

I think we should be happy that USD is upgrading their turf (after all, our players will have to play on it). That old turf was hard as a rock and no doubt was seriously worn. This has got to be a lot better and it looks good.

I'm confused. The old USD turf was not that hard at all. I used to run laps on it before the new Wellness Center opened up and it had much, much more cushion to it than the previous turf (which was the original Dome turf). Is the original turf what you are referring to? I don't think the Jacks have played but maybe a couple games on the current turf that is being replaced, and that was back when it was brand new.

I have been on the 'most-recent' USD turf referred to in Yote53's post. I thought it was too spongy-soft and I can understand why the surface was an advantage to USD because the Coyotes adjusted to their home field. Agreeing with JimmyJack: I think the replacement turf, based on pictures I've seen, looks pretty good.

After the Jacks play there a couple times my guess is the endzone will be showing the first sign of wear and tear.

Actually, I am hoping that the Coyotes decide to play their "home" games against the Jackrabbits here:

That is true, the turf they are replacing was spongy-soft and after you ran on it for an extended period of time you could feel your legs wearing out. If you aren't used to the turf it felt like the life was being sucked out of your quads and calfs and you fatigued quickly. Definitely an advantage getting used to that and playing on it daily.

I just realized that's an indoor football field, not an outdoor stadium, holy smokes that is impressive (if they can get it built).

I would be all for football championships being played in a facility like that, in a town like Rapid City. Football championships would actually become a 3 day event instead of people migrating in and out of Vermillion for the 3 hours their team is in the Dome.

That's a pretty ambitious project. I hope Rapid City can get it built and definitely agree that it could have big potential for the new home of the highschool football championships. Who would play there during the rest of the fall? They would need to keep a place that like occupied.

We are. Your question was who has grass? I was attempting to be funny but apparently missed. Just saw Ted so other things were on my mind.
