    • If I was a local restaurant I would make a double patty and double cheese burger, the Double Double and name it after Oscar Cluff. After all he is a walking Double Double.

      • I like the double/double. Oscar and the Outback Steakhouse seems like a natural fit as well.

        • I see Madelyn Bragg from Aberdeen is transferring from Northern. She is a 6'3 F/C who is a 2 time all-NSIC selection. I wonder if there is any possibility for AJ to bring her in as a replacement for Mesa?

I thought Bragg was a really nice high school player, but she felt like a borderline D1 player. I have not seen her since high school. has she improved maybe more than expected? Mesa is no worse than the 3rd best post player in the Summit for the last 2 years. I am not sure I see Bragg being equal to that unless, as I said she has had a higher ceiling than expected as a college player.

incoming Thul and Vasecka are both 6'2. I feel like one of them is going to have something like a Myah Selland role as a 4 who can step out and help out with ball handling and perimeter shooting. they will have Dunn and Felchle to offer a little more size. my guess is that if they add a post player it will be someone who could be seen as an obvious upgrade from those 4

            • I see Lilly Meister hit the portal today at Indiana. 6'3 her parents both played ball for the Jacksabbits, Kurt Meister and Angie Swenson. Not sure we are looking either, but found it interesting enough to share. I would not be against looking into it.

                Hmmm, this would be impactful.

If we would be looking to add (and that's a big if) , a post or PG would seem to make sense.

Personally, I am more concerned about post than PG

She’d be a great replacement for Kallie/Mesa. AJ definitely knows her from recruiting and her family knows us of course. I’m guessing the Gophers and many others will also go after her.

I guess I'm the opposite. We aren't deep at post, but have one very good proven option. We've got lots of PG options, but no one with experience. Fox played it some, but her playing time got reduced at the end of the season. And she seems to be more of an off guard rather than a true PG.

                        • Katie handle the point pretty dang well last night.

I think this team will miss Mesa as much as anyone.

I agree with this. I believe Katie has star potential, and is backed up by Fox and Mali (who knows how high her ceiling is). Who do we pair with Brooklyn? I would absolutely love to eat crow, but I'm just not sold on the recruit from ND.

                            • I see that Arizona State Mallory Miller, 6'2" SD high school player is in the portal. I know SDSU had interest in her the first time.

I don't know if SDSU ever formally offered her. There's a lot of drama there I've been told with that family. Wouldn't be surprised if she went to Northern.
